Firstly, the pizza is good. Unfortunately, we dined in for dinner and there were issues with ambience and some other dishes. The high noise level was astounding and really unpleasant, I couldn't hear anyone at the table without shouting. It was a total cacophony of everyone at the restaurant. Not great. Also, some of the dishes we had missed the mark. The romaine salad was nothing special and less so with the abundant amount of fried chicken skins they served, which tasted awful. However, the wedge salad was good. The roasted oysters were decent/OK, but at $25- for only 5 oysters they were way overpriced. So, for me, not a great place. Would consider take out pizza, but not dining in.
Hog & Hominy is a pizza & salad place in East Memphis. The salad and pizzas were pretty good - the pizza is in the California style with the focus on the toppings, and there are a lot of pork toppings (hence the name of the restaurant). The prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. The desserts we tried were very good, and the cocktail was good too. One complaint is that the parking lot is given over to valet parking, which seems weird for a place with $17-19 entrees. We parked on the street. Recommended.

Hog & Hominy has a great ambiance and really good food. The pizzas are some of the best I’ve had. You need to try the Thunderbird! Forty Twice! pizza. The apps are good too! The cocktails were a slight bit of a let down, but might just be an off round on that. I’d definitely go again!
Loved it before and after the renovation. Our most recent visit, the staff was great. Our waiter was very patient and accommodating as I recently became vegan and he helped with menu options and adjustments to fit my needs. In the end, the Chef was left to decide for me on how to tailor my dish just for my dietary needs. His creation was perfect and I ate one of the BEST vegan friendly pizzas I've ever had. Will definitely go back
When living in Dallas, I would book work trips and drive the 8 hours just to go here. The food is fresh and delicious, the drinks are creative and made from scratch. Go for happy hour, go for the sweetbreads, go for pizza... it doesn't matter what you go there for, you will enjoy your time.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Went here for a date and probably the best date spot in Memphis! Classy but not uptight. Warm and intimate interior. Food was amazing! Everyone was super nice and attentive. Honestly felt very taken care of by the staff. I believe our servers name was Fred who was amazing! They even had vallet which was neat (remember to tip your servers and vallet!). All around wonderful experience and hoping to return soon.
Love the new space! Awesome food. We tried several appetizers including the pig ears and loved each one. Poutine, oysters,wedge salad, pizza all delish. Topped off with lemon and peanut butter pie, yummy. Old fashion was spot on as well. Thanks Lauren(awesome server). Can’t wait to go back. Will, you made it even more special!!
Great food and atmosphere! Everyone was wonderful! Love the valet parking! I do miss the open kitchen and pizza station but the new place is beautiful! THANKS and see ya again soon…….
