Really cool bar right near GraceLand! They have live music and entertainment on weekends and offer a lot of sitting space. Good drinks behind the bar and the service was great. Definitely a low lit space, but clean and accommodating as well. Drop in sometime and pay this bar a visit!
Came early and had a Philly with fries, the best Philly I’ve had in a very long time! Highly recommend. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. They went above and beyond, I’ll be coming back!
Went for a Zach Rushing show, it was a packed house. Not in the greatest area of town but didn't have any problems! Staff was friendly and attentive. The food looked good although we didn't eat. Wouldn't hesitate to go back!
Drove all the way from Falmouth,KY to see Zack Rushing and Jesse Payton do their comedy show here. 7 hrs one way. Now as far as this place goes. The place was crowded and the bar was super busy. But the girls working grabbed us a couple of seats and waited on us with no problem. This place done an amazing job and it's a shame we don't live in Tennessee.
As other reviewers have noted, this is a fantastic live music venue. It is near Graceland, so if you are visiting from out of town, this is a great place to finish your evening if you are down that way, in a place where Elvis himself performed. If you are a local, keep an eye on their events page for a show you are interested in and it will not disappoint. I must mention the sound in this venue is particularly great as they put a lot of attention into the system and their sound person is very experienced and talented.We hear that Jerry Lee Lewis still stops by when he is in town, so you might even get to see a living legend while in this rock n roll institution. There is a picture of him right by the bar and it's a picture of him at the bar :)Whatever you do, do not miss this amazing music venue, restaurant, and bar! Everyone that works there will make you feel like a real star!
What makes this place special is that it doesn’t try to be special. It is old tattered tired dingy and I love it. Amazing staff, great food, eclectic clientele and reasonable prices a real hidden gem in our Instagram, every photo taken with a filter world. Do yourself a favor and skip the corporate tourist traps and take a slight detour to retro cool and have a drink at Hernando‘s.I also consider this place to be one of the best places on the planet to see local live music.
We had a great night at Hernando’s a few weeks ago. We got to talk to local patrons, out of towners and the owner Dale Watson, repping the Lone Star State and even inviting for a round of Lone Stars. Great fun! Outside we saw some cool, old school American cars parked incl. the customized stretch limo which we guess is mr. Watson’s.A fan favorite for us was the patio and this “ring toss” game hung from one of the beams. Super addictive stuff if you’re competitve. Loved it!Would come back next time in town.
The place has and amazing vibe! We saw the Matt Hill Trio band play and they take you back playing old rock and roll from some of the greatest artists in American rock and roll history!! We'll definitely be going back to check out some more shows.
Wonderful historic music venue with a kitschy vibe and great greasy food! They book some awesome indy artists- and the stage makes every show a treat.
