I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was a one man show and he did it better than restaurants fully staffs. I believe his name is Tray. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. I will give this restaurant ten stars if I could. I never had chicken and waffles the way he made it. Chicken was so crispy waffle was so flaky and flavorful. I wish I live in Memphis just to go here every day.Can’t wait to come back that will be my first stop.
That was the best food we've eaten since being in Memphis, and I mean hands down. This place is a MUST! Its small but the do have seating for outside as well. AWESOME FOOD!
This place is a nice little shop on the corner with a great southern menu.I ordered the chicken and waffles and the meat was done to perfection. The chicken was falling off the bone and waffles were out of the world good.The chicken was a little over-salted but apart from that it was great.
The food was delicious! We ordered the roasted wings with the waffle. The waffle did not need the syrup or butter it came with. The wings were perfectly cooked and tender. The space was clean and cozy.
Today I discovered Fannie Lou’s and was not disappointed. Travis was our server AND chef and he deserves more than 5 ⭐️!! He was super attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and provided the best service I’ve had in a long time! I ordered the Praline Crusted Chicken tenders and not only was the portion generous, chicken succulent & sauce finger-licking good, there is some kinda ✨magic seasoning✨ in the waffle batter—it was delightfully crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The greens? Legit. A scrumptious combination of heat & sweet with just enough broth to keep them traditional but not soggy or overcooked. Looking forward to more meals here!
I've been to this place on serveral occasions and I have not been disappointed YET! The flavors of both the chicken and the waffles blow my mind! On one occasion, I partook in the regular 6 whole wings and waffle....blew my mind so I had to go back. The jumbo fried chicken wings were so good it'll make you wanna "SLAP YAH MAMA"!! It's not the typical fried chicken chain. This place is cozy and casual. If you need a fried chicken fix in Memphis look no further.The fried chicken wings had a dry rub Italian seasoning, and lighted coated with honey. The skin on the wings were crispy like a crunch on a kettle chip.
Kevin prepared a perfect lunch. We had the chicken salad on waffle and the pecan crusted chicken over waffle with pecans and maple syrup. Creative and delicious.
Absolutely incredible place for Chicken and Waffles in Downtown! Small cozy and beautiful hidden jem will surprise you with warm and fluffy waffles and hot delicious freshly cooked chicken! Pour over it a syrup and your tastebuds will explode! 5 out of 5! (I had wings +waffles AND waffle pizza)
