Staff was super nice and quick. Tacos had a small portion of gross meat on them. Def not the quality I usually get from little taco shops. No chorizo, barbacoa etc just chicken, steak, and fish. This must be a chain.
Very disappointed. The drinks were hot and to have a taconshop and no bean and cheese tacos. Cashier stated that they don't make those. How you gonna have a taco shop and can't make the easiest of tacos what a shame!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Matti, our server was amazing!!! I had the surf and turf shrimp (grilled shrimp and steak). It was super delicious..... my date had Elena's tacos. She said they were really good too. Guacamole made fresh daily. The green and red hot sauce is made fresh and was just right. Highly recommend eating here.
I was so excited to have Mexican food like my hometown, San Diego! I went quite a but within a month ? Once the shop went up on the prices, they made smaller size portions as well. VERY DISAPPOINTING, thats when you lost a customer- whom visited there at least 6 times within 3 weeks. I won't go back, that's very greedy to up the cost and make smaller portions especially with your rolled tacos- it's like the smallest rolled tacos I've ever seen. I'll just wait to go home to Diego to get my Mexican food fix. ?
I order from Elena's once or twice a month. I think they have one of the best tortas in the city (asada). The bread is the key. They're known for their SoCal flavors, and the California carne asada burrito does not disappoint. Don't sleep on the little sauces that come with your meal. Dip your finger and taste, first, though. They can be spicy and ymmv on how much spice you can take. Try the shrimp taco or fish taco, too....and get a Jamaica drink. I don't think you'll be disappointed with anything you'll choose.
The fish tacos here were really delicious. The burritos are large but they're pretty greasy. It was pretty good and would go back for more tacos.
From the food to the friendly faces!! I love just about everything this place has to offer. I mostly visit on lunch but haven't had a bad experience yet. A definite must try if you haven't had the chance to partake yet
Speedy service, hot food! Salsa is delicious. Carrots are excellent but they had no limes. Corn tortilla on street tacos are great! Won’t get soggy quick.
I have to be honest, the sandwiches were great and tasty but I ordered 4 large fries and asked to see the box. How much fries is in each box? One layer of fries. Ridiculous. Next time I’ll try the summer’s location, so far they never did that.
Never disappoints! Have family from out of town that simply visit to eat here. Always fresh and delicious!
