Visited here while I was on vacation in Memphis Tennessee. Waitress was kind and friendly. Food was fresh. Prices is always great on my pockets. My husband had a sweet tea, and wanted to take one on the go. However when he requested this from the waitress, she told him that, that will be place as an to go order, but because we were dining in, he couldn't place it. [I don't understand this, as this happened to me before as I was out with a relative]. However, as my husband and I continue to talk with this waitress, she learn we were from out of town, and decided she was going to give us both a large cup of our selected drink to go. So that was nice of her!!
I recommend that the Cracker Barrell Resturant in Memphis on Hacks cross offer better customer service and better quality food when someone orders Togo meals my food wes not cooked properly, the southern fried chicken was very greasy the grease that the chicken was cooked in was old and the greens were nasty. The host who took the order had my order under w name that has absolutely nothing to do with my name. My name is Phyllis Parks they had it under the of Ty..The food cost to much for the poor quality of the food .. I will not be going to that Cracker Barrel again and I definitely won’t order a to go meal..
I love browsing around in the gift shop, it always reminds me of family vacation. The whole setup reminds me of family. Sitting on the front porch in a rocking chair, eating good ole country meals, getting full and taking a nap. 100% Southern.I love the breakfast here and turnip greens, not served together or anything crazy… but there is not much you can get here and be disappointed. I have almost had everything on their menu. When you visit, have time, come with people you love, and be present in good quality conversations… a great place for making memories!
Worst one ive ever been to, still sitting here an hour after we ordered and only seen our waitress one time, theres been many carry out orders picked up and others that came well after us get food but as for dine in looks like were on the back burner, not even that busy! I'm from Oklahoma so I for sure will never make the mistake of coming back but even if I did live here I would eat McDonald's before here!
I met a couple of friends for dinner and we waited an hour to be served. Once I got my food, the potatoes were old and dry, the gravy was cold and the cornbread was burnt. The chicken fried steak was the only thing worth eating, cooked fresh. I was so dissapointed! Although, another waitress tried to make it better, I was not satisfied. I even witnessed a couple, who were seated and served, while we continued to wait. This left a bad taste in my mouth. Cracker Barrel you have got to do better!
No stars on this visit. My party arrived at 9:10am and we were seated at 9:30 (20 minute wait). The server came and got our drink order. After another 10 minutes he came back to get our food order. So since 9:40ish we been waiting on our food. It took them multiple times to either refill or bring our drinks. At one point they brought us a dirty glass to drink out of. At the time of writing this it's now 10:50am. 6 people were seated after us and received their food. The server informed us the food was still coming. We then asked for the manager.Well what do you know, the food came right out annnnnd its was wrong. It was missing items and the undercooked. Of course the manager came half listen to our complaint and brought out new food. He came back a second time and reminded him of the missing peach tea.At the end the manager discounted the food by $20. The server felt accosted somehow. Yet I will not be returning to this location for many reasons.
Me and my husband went to the Shelby oaks drive location for Valentine’s Day dinner. We had a horrible experience the service wasn’t good and the server wasn’t very attentive to filling our glasses. The food was barely warm seemed like it had sat for a while before it was brought to us and we also ordered a to-go order and our server Michael brought it to us when he brought our food to us after we told him to wait until we got done eating. We had to tell him 2 or 3 times that we needed more tea, the last time he came up and asked us how everything was. Unfortunately, things wasn’t very good at that point.
I love coming here service is super great. Not crowded, respectful employees. Felt safe and the restroom was clean. Good food ? love, love the Cod fish. Safety steps good, great gifts great place to shop as well as eat. Unique ?? gifts for family and friends all ages
Friendly place but prepared for some 15 -25 minutes wait time. Mimosas not served until after 10am. I had the grandma sampler with my breakfast date. It's his favorite place. I like the old timey gift shop area. Prices are reasonable and there's a clearance section too.
It's Cracker Barrel, so don't expect anything different than the norm. Country style food for those who have not been. Be careful ordering country ham if you've never had it. It's a unique taste that's not the restaurant's fault if you don't like it, however they do it pretty good if you want to try it. That being said the food and service is always on point. I normally go for breakfast or lunch at this location and have never been disappointed.
