It's okay, it was food, for a decent price. I don't know if CookOut has changed something, but it doesn't taste the same. I don't eat it often, but it doesn't taste the same as it did when it initially came to Memphis. Anyway, it was about $20 to feed 3 adults and that's a steal nowadays. It wasn't too busy and our food came out really quickly. Beware though, this place gets pretty busy on the weekends. I mean "line to the street busy..."!
Cook Out is really the best fast food in Memphis all things considered. Better food for the price than most places. Faster service than 90% and open late. Truly an answer to the problem that incompetent fast food in Memphis has become.
Don't go when there is a long line. Don't go when it's late late expecting much to be available. The machine for there 40 flavors may be down who knows. If you want anything and you expect it to be right go in the morning. The night time is just ridiculous sometimes...

I was visiting my sick grandmother in Memphis and this was my first time trying it. Wanted some BBQ and was not disappointed. Wow. Very delicious and very good prices.
Terrible experience they were out of bacon, french fries, cheese, they were absolutely out of everything and they screwed up our order royally! We ordered three sandwiches got two no fries no drinks what a horrible location! Shut him down!
Great amount of food for the price. Food is pretty good, love the assortment of shakes. But this time 1 of my items was missing so I can't give 5 stars
I stopped here after work for a bite to eat. It was tolerable.The line was very long but moved faster than I expected. But that may be because they are rushing on the inside. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and they forgot my bacon. The menu was confusing at a glance. There are a ton of options but it's not clear what comes in the combos. At least for a first timer.The burger was small and very unspectacular. It barely tasted like meat. It's like they ground the beef too fine and then ground it again for good measure. The consistency was not pleasant.There aren't many options for late night food on my way home. Even at that, it will be awhile before I give cookout another chance. Maybe it's better in the daytime when the staff has time and doesn't feel rushed.
