Yelp/Google reported the store is open, however this is the store alone, the Deli was closed.Full disclosure with my above disappointment, I did find it interesting that a healthy options store has banners broadcasting Swisher sweets and tobacco products out front.Will potentially give it another try some other time.
Hey business owners!.. take 2 minutes to go on Google and update your Opening time... your definetly not open at 6am. Google maps is how everyone finds your business. Update it!
I have consistently had good, fresh, tasty food here and i have never seen anything but fresh food sold. I have about 8 - 10 meals a week, and i go in every day. So i would know. Kareem and Barbara take good care of me and Barbara prepares all of that good food. She works HARD and i wonder if anyone else tips her or compliments her food. No one there has ever been rude to me. And their food is not there long enough to get moldy, that is simply not true and can really harm a business. I am thrilled i have the option to eat reubens (my favorite) salmon, curry chicken, fresh fruit, WONDERFUL breakfast, really good pasta every day, AND THE DESSERTS! I hope those remarks about moldy food and rude people do not hurt this business that is good for the neighborhood and has healthy, clean food and atmosphere. And the owner is committed to serving our neighborhood and making it our neighborhood store. If you need something that is not normally stocked he will get it. He is 'all in' and I hate hate hate that people can get on social media and condemn without FIRST talking to the owner, showing him what you saw (recent review crucifies the owner for alleged moldy food).He would have been as horrified as you are. Now the burden of proof is on him and you get to damage his business without any proof.. Toughen up, go to City Market, get a 'attitude' from the kitchen boss, turn her day around with YOUR kindness and you could make a really funny and bright HARDWORKING friend like i have.. And have the best darn lunch in the neighborhood. Good grief, it's convenient store with good food, you can always go back to Mapco.
Came in on a Sunday, asked if the juice bar was available, cashier said it is Sunday and everything is closed. Came in on a Tuesday, asked if the juice bar was open, cashier said he is only a cashier and does not make juice. I asked for a specialty coffee, he points to the drip pot. The cashier seems highly irritated having to explain everyday, several times a day. The big board is beautiful, but if you no longer offer 3/4th of what is up there, erase it.

I just wish I knew when to go for the breakfast sandwiches. The bacon, egg n cheese is the best in the city, it's just a surprise when you're able to get one.

Entered near ten, it was not crowded. I will be bringing family next time. It has a great interior. They have a lot of good reviews for a reason.
