Great‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️. Definitely recommend
The food was absolutely great! Everything was fresh. Our server was on spot. Our glasses were never empty and the used plates were kept cleared. The ladies room was clean, but very outdated, as was the back room. I'm sure there's a story about the yellow tiles walls, but it was way too loud. I'm giving it a 5 mainly for the service and food. I wish I could do a 4.5 because of the decor and noise. We will try them again, but maybe in the middle of the week instead of a Sunday afternoon.
We decided to give this place a try today since it seemed to offer a variety of choices. It was a buffet with a table of Asian and a couple of tables of southern fried items. I am not for the meat, so it was a bit limited for me. I found some goodies and Lacey enjoyed it. I did enjoy 2 of the deserts very much and the hot and sour soup was very good. It was busy and not bad for what it was. I would suggest it to those with a love for the southern fried soul food with an Asian flare.
I love buffets. For some some reason, it brings out the child in me. Buffets done right are fun, even when dining alone. This was my first visit, but definitely not my last. This restaurant not only has Chinese food, but it also has "southern home cookin". To be honest, this is the first restaurant that I have ever been to to boast of southern cooking, so my opinion of the southern food is from an extremely amateur point of view. On the other hand, I would consider myself a master of consuming "American" Chinese food. The day I visited was a Thursday for lunch.I sampled nearly every item in the Chinese section. I found every item to be unique in flavor when compared to other items. As all the items are not customly cooked to order, as in a traditional restaurant, I was literally amazed at the taste, texture and warmth of the my meal. The chicken eggrolls and the hot sour soup, were so yummy that I went back for seconds.I also sampled from the southern section and was delighted to see such variety of non-chinese food. Most of the food, I didn't recognize ( I'm more used to Southern California Cooking). This concept of the Southern food is a great option for family members who don't really care for Chinese. The food was also fresh and tasty. The fried chicken was excellent! I really enjoyed how they took simple ingredients like potato's and onions and made a tantalizing side dish. The salad bar was complete with fresh veggies on ice, everything was crisp.I dined during the week and my total including soft drink was under $15 which I feel was a good value as it is a similar price point as other buffets, but with better food.As I was finishing up, I really started to try to find a reason not to give them 5 stars. My whole dining experience from the friendly staff, to the great tasting food, seemed a little too easy, and maybe I was missing something. Come on, there had to be a catch, there's no such thing as a "perfect dining experience" at a buffet. It was then that I realized that I didn't try the sushi. I went to the sushi section, only to realize that there wasn't one. Was I disappointed, not at the littlest bit. The incorporating of Southern and Chinese food as menu items far surpassed the lack of sushi.Thank you to the staff on the day I went, you guys rock, and created a very memorable experience for this newly relocated google guide. And, please remember to tip your servers!
This was a very popular place and had good reviews and we were hungry! There seemed to be a lot of southern type food as well as Chinese that I don’t think you’d see up north. There were many choices and some were very good. My favorites were the Sesame chicken, oven chicken, and fish. Skip the corn-on-cob, it tastes like it’s been soaking all week. They had delicious rolls coated with sugar, a salad bar, and an assortment of sweets for dessert. Service was very good.
Eh, not for us. Reviews were pretty good for a buffet so we went at 11:30 on a Sunday. There was a line when we got there, it eventually died down. Had to wait 20 minutes for fried chicken that then they only put out 3 pieces of and it wasn't crispy. Even that early, the Chinese food was cold. The selection is small. Nothing was seasoned well, everything was disappointing. It's really rare that there's almost nothing I like about somewhere. The service was fine, I did like the rice pudding and at least it was inexpensive.
The food is always Freshly prepared and delicious! Our server today, Missy was great too! She was friendly and provided excellent service. We have been dining here since this location first opened up. We love the food, service, and overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The only thing I would like them to bring back is the icecream/malt machine. It never came back after the Covid-19 restrictions were lifted.
Chicken and fish was good. Soul food items no favor and look disgusting on bar. Too much juices in food items and staff started mopping with strong cleaning products so we left!
The service was friendly and everyone was nice! However, I would not go here again. It’s possible I went at the wrong time, a Sunday afternoon… But the line was so long for the buffet. I’ve never seen a buffet set up like this. The Chinese food options are very minimal and not very good, in my opinion. The soul food line was so long, we had to stand in line for about 15 minutes, cafeteria style… As stated, we probably went at the wrong time, it wasn’t worth the money to me. It was $37 for two adults with two drinks, before tip. By the time you finished your 1-2 initial plates, you are not gonna want to stand in line again. Maybe if we went at a different time, it would’ve been better. Overall my review is based on the fact that the food was very average and not impressive. I wouldn’t have cared about the 15 minute line (at the buffet bar, not to get seated), if the food was actually good.
I spent $12.02 on lunch to go. If you know the Bible and the story of Jesus feeding the multitude. Then this is my version, my wife & I ate 2 days from the 1 carry out (lunch/dinner). Even good on the second day. We enjoy the mixture of American & Asian cuisine.
