Gotta love high tea at The Peabody. Our server, Kevin was great - funny, efficient and very personable.
Amazing experience! Our first time to have tea and we loved it! Herbert was incredible- told us all about the hotel, gave us time to go and the ducks between the courses and just was such a delight to talk to. Thank you for everything!
I did High Tea today with my sister and mom and it was AMAZING. Our waiter, Chris B., made the experience 100x better. He was well informed and a joy to be around, despite being short handed for staff. We all laughed and talked as if we knew each other. We were lucky to have a great waiter like him for this rare experience and hope to come back. Highly recommend it for a special day for anyone. Make sure to request for Chris!
Lovely tea experience at the beautiful, historic Peabody hotel. Make reservations a month in advance. Well worth it!
My goodness. You have GOT to try this place if you have not. My birthday was yesterday and I went to celebrate. The staff has EXCELLENT attitude and the chef is AWESOME not to mention that the place is BEAUTIFUL too! Stop by and enjoy!
Service was fantastic and the selections for Afternoon Tea were great.
This is not the restaurant it shows in the pictures. The food quality is poor compared to what it use to be. The restaurant looks out dated and dingy. The service wasn’t attentive. The lobster bisque didn’t have lobster in it and the bread came with the food. My wife asked for no meat in hers and it had to be remade and took >15 minutes. The wine was sour. You would have better food and service at Olive Garden.
The tea was delicious. I had the Pu Euhr and my friend had a peach blossom white tea. The amount of food is deceivingly generous; by the time we reached the third course, we were quite full and had to take the desserts home. It was a beautiful venue and we had a great time. I am excited to go back and can't wait untold he next time!
My wife and I passed up the room service breakfast for two at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis in order to enjoy an a la carte breakfast on the morning after we had experienced a first-class dinner in the hotel's luxurious Chez Philippe. Adjacent to the elegant lobby, the dining room simply oozes with tradition and opulence. For breakfast, my wife had Cinnamon Challah French Toast with maple syrup, fresh berries, bacon, a Bronx bagel with cream cheese and a cappucino. I had two scrambled eggs with sausage, breakfast potatoes, toast and a large glass of orange juice. Then we were off on the next leg of our trip to Florida. The night before, after being entertained by the five resident ducks, we enjoyed a sumptuous dinner. My wife started with a Wedge salad with iceberg lettuce, Bleu cheese dressing, crumbled bacon and heirloom tomato, then had a six-ounce filet mignon with mashed potatoes, asparagus and truffle sauce and finished with a delicious vanilla creme brulee. I opted for a bowl of lobster bisque and a Caesar salad with romaine, garlic croutons, parmesan cheese and Caesar dressing, a grilled ribeye of beef with mashed potatoes and asparagus and a large slice of pecan pie. The Peabody is advertised as "The South's Grandest Hotel." With its elegant surroundings, Chez Philippe could be advertised as "The South's Grandest Restaurant."
Food worth the price and wonderful service.
