Coming from across the bridge to check out Chef Tam's food. I must say it was delicious.? The catfish, shrimp and grits OMG!! Gave me so much love. The fried green tomatoes with the spicy dipping sauce were very good. I was a little disappointed they did not have the peach cobbler nachos. Overall, the food was scrumptious and I will be returning again.

The food was AMAZING!!!!! We went on Saturday for the all day brunch. The wait was long but it was WELL WORTH IT!! Our waitress Kira/Kyla (can’t remember it for sure) was THE BOMB!! She had very good customer service skills and didn’t disappoint with handling our orders. Our table was a party of 5, we all ordered the same thing. We had catfish, shrimp & grits, greens, sweet potatoes and macaroni , with a side of Kool-Aid…..you know the GOOD kind ? OVERALL everything was GOODT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great lunch with huge portions. Husband had catfish tacos with a side of seafood Mac and cheese. I had the grilled cheese with bacon and chicken breast with seasoned fries. All was excellent and too much to finish!

From Chicago to Memphis. Came for the Warriors vs Grizzlies NBA Game of course my Warriors lost, BUT when got to searching for black owned Soul Food Restaurant.., omg it was WIN WIN!!! 4 Everyone! Was skeptical of the muddy Mac & cheese with shrimp ?,crab ? meat, Crawfish ok I know right but look at it all I tasted was the little shrimp it was delicious. Please Memphian, Visitors check out Chef Tam's Underground Cafe Restaurant plenty of room was playing ole' skool Soul Music friendly atmosphere oh I could go on. Parking challenging but worth the test.

We loved the atmosphere, the food was phenomenal. This was our first visit but we will be back for more. I had shrimp catfish and grits, my children ordered the chicken and waffles and shrimp fries. It was so much food we had left overs!

The absolute worse experience. My family and I drove all the way from Kansas City and chose chef tams as our first place to eat. We waited almost 21/2 hours on a 40 min wait. The staff waited until the whole dining room was empty before seating the next customers. So much money was turned away from this business it was sad. There was an older lady seating beside me that complained to one of staff members. That staff member proceeded to ask her why she waited and stated she wouldn’t have. Great way to get people to come back! After being seated my family and I were last to get our orders taken. We were suppose to be third in line out of five parties. We didn’t get our food until everyone else was done eating. OUR APPETIZER CAME ABOUT 5 MINS BEFORE OUR FOOD!!! Talk about mad! We ate out appetizer and packed our food to go. The whole experience was ruined. No apologies no nothing. I hate to say it but this is the reason we can’t support our own. If you’re looking for good food and a Customer friendly place to eat in Memphis, try Curfew. I will never eat at Tams again when visiting Memphis and surely won’t suggest the restaurant anyone.

Went during Black Restaurant Week, so the menu was limited. Nice atmosphere. Service a bit slow. Food was good. Love the peach cobbler nachos. Not the best parking.

Turkey Panini was off the chain. Loves Chef Tams Gas sauce. Seasoned fries was the best. Peach Cobbler was good but could use some more seasoning.. I would recommend and I would revisit next time we are in Memphis.

Food was amazing.. took my mom for dinner and she loved it! Cam the waiter makes some bomb assssss kool-aid!! Got to get it!!! And Kira our waitress was wonderful.. got to go there!!

My wife had been trying to get me to take her for a while. The wait was worth it. The food was cooked to order and was amazingly Good. Our Waitress Kira to great care of us.Thanks for an AWESOME eating Experience.
