Hillary was our server. She was prompt, and very knowledgeable. Rigatoni was absolutely prefect. Newman Farm Pork was very tender with great flavor.
Pros: pasta tasted amazing, delicious fashioned was good and the manager handled our concerns like a boss,Cons: aside from the pasta, everything else seemed under-seasoned. We ordered the tuna(which we sent back) and the manager bought us the brussel sprouts. Althought the latter was significantly better, bothe still had A lot of flavors, that salt would have helped balance out. Ordered a lemonade and it was super tart, the remade it but even then, it wasnt good.The olive oil cake was also underwhelming. Lastly, our server seemed to neglect our table. I doubt it was intentional and maybe hus first time in a high pace environment. The fact I had to fetch a manager because he wasn't around to take care of simple concerns spoke volumes to his ability to handle multiple tasks at once.I'll probably never return, but the pasta was good!
Hilary was our server. She was so friendly and prompt. The rigatoni was great, but the meatballs were so good. I also had the gelato in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. All were good, but the strawberry stole the show. First time but won’t be our last.
We had a party of 20 in their private room. The food was delicious, the cocktails hit the spot and the service was impeccable. They were friendly and gracious hosts, and truly, we could not have asked for better service. Definitely going back.
Last night was a wonderful night. We parked our car for $4.50 behind Beale Street which allowed 3 hours of parking. Very AFFORDABLE. We then walked along South Main District and decided to try to get in to the very popular CATHERINE & MARY'S (Italian Eatery). They are generally a reservation only restaurant but they went out of their way to accommodate us and they REALLY gave us one of the BEST areas in the establishment. It was actually reserved for an 8:30 pm sitting. We arrived around 6:50 pm. Even though we were aware of our limited sitting time the staff did not hurry us through our meal. They actually insisted we try a dessert. We decided to and both of us ordered a Zeppole (fried dough ball with confetti sprinkles....kind of! Italian Beiqnet!). We figured we were each getting one Ball a piece. We were shocked when our order came out and we were given a bowl of 5 Zeppole each. The staff each thanked us as well as the Manager and Door Hostess (who we had previously tipped for finding us a table). I would highly recommend this Restaurant for a ROMANTIC evening. I certainly felt all LOVEY as we returned home for the evening.
We really enjoyed our visit to Cathrine & Mary's. $20 for 2 scallops seems pricey but they were amazing and I'd pay it again! They also have incredibly creative and delicious cocktails. I enjoyed the Rye By Night which used a sweet potato rye.
I came in on Saturday night. I sat for 15 minutes at the bar. No one acknowledged or handed me a menu. A young lady finally handed me one, but never came back for my order. I just got up and left after 25 minutes and no drink....still unnoticed.I worked as a bar tender throughout school in a very busy city. I understand it was busy, but this is not a place I would go again.
Great place to go to before the show or to meet your date. Staff is very friendly and the food is always excellent!
Consistently fantastic! The combinations that they come up with are incredible! And all of the AM restaurants have the best bartenders in the business.
