The owner is a Butthole. Followed me and my family out the door saying we didn’t tip enough and to find another restaurant to dine at. Would not recommend. The owner that’s heavy set and works on sunday!!! The taller slender one is great!

The food and service was awesome! We needed a great meal after the hot weather and baseball. They did not disappoint. We all 3 cleaned our plates.

Went last night to celebrate a birthday and I will say the service was great. Our server Raven did a wonderful job. There were a couple hiccups with the food but nothing even worth mentioning in detail because they fixed it immediately. The food was good, the drinks were great and the ambiance is really nice. I would definitely visit again.

For years we’ve heard about Buckleys Grill but thought there are nicer places to go for steaks. We now understand why it has such a great reputation among long time Memphians. This is an unpretentious, basics-done-right local gem. It looks like a small towns best steak place in a converted Pizza Hut. Parking surrounds the place so no issue there. The atmosphere is a blend of low light, vinyl topped tables, with nice spacing and in case your conversation slows, there are a few TVs to view the food network channel. The cocktail, beer and wine menu is limited but diverse. Our server was prompt, attentive, friendly and timed the meal just right. We started with the Bacon Jam app. Then Caesar and Wedge salad. We ordered the low country filet which includes shrimp & grits, filet and creamed spinach plus green beans. The salads were fresh and tasty, the Bacon jam was a nice app but the crostinis were cooked right without being burned. It was uniquely good. Our filets were cooked as ordered. The shrimp & grits, spinach, and green beans were all good. Here’s a clue, nothing had an overwhelming taste, heat, or left me leaving blown away. It’s unfair to compare this with Folks Folly, Flemmings, Capital Grill and the high end & cost steakhouses though. Comparisons are more like the Side Porch. Good food, friendly people, clean and comfortable place for a reasonable price. It’s a place I’d return for good food in a nice place.

I had a great experience. I didnt have a reservation so my boyfriend and I ended up eating at the bar. Please ask for the bartender Michelle and she will hook you up. I had the drink special (long island) and chicken pasta. So delish! We enjoyed our visit and date night. Next time we will make a reservation in advance. The drinks, appetizer, entrées and dessert were all good.

I didn’t take a picture until I was half way through my meal! But WOW this place was amazing. Really loved the dim lit atmosphere and the owner Ken is so polite and takes time to talk to all tables... he helps his team with everything from hosting to cleaning tables.... that is someone who genuinely cares about his staff and restaurant!! Our server was also AMAZING and everything came in such a timely manner, his name started with a D! We had spinach and artichoke dip (the best I’ve ever had), Jonathan had steak, and I had the macadamia cod , we both got creamed spinach and that was also the best we have ever had. We also had the cow cookie (I think) for dessert. Man, I can’t brag enough. Thanks for a wonderful parents night out Buckley’s ❤️

As out of towners my wife and I didn’t realize how hard it would be to get reservations at ANY eatery in Memphis. We were turned away at several restaurants because we didn’t have reservations. We just tried Buckley’s as a last resort and were in luck, as they had a cancellation. Ken, the host/manager seated us and we had a wonderful meal in part due to our very attentive waiter, Phillip. I don’t think Roby and I have had a better restaurant experience! The food was fabulous!

Had a fantastic dinner here. William was our server and he was fantastic. Nice cozy atmosphere, kinda fancy without being pretentious. We had the chopped steak and the salmon Oscar. Both were great. The star was definitely the Memphis jam bake though. You have to order that.

You have to try this place. Best service and the food is so delicious. Hats off to their chef. Best steak just melts like butter. Romantic atmosphere. We love it.

So good I forgot to photo our steaks. Date night ? Forget Applebees and go here. Steaks cooked to perfection and equal attention to service. Better make a reservation though, or you’ll be getting their fine service at the rather small bar. I lucked out tonight. Haven’t been here for a while it’s always a favorite birthday or anniversary spot. Even the napkin was glad to see us.
