Our first time trying out Bryant's this morning and we absolutely loved it! I got the 'everything omelet' that comes with biscuits, grits and gravy. My husband got the Scrambler. I will say the gravy was not very good, it literally tastes like grease. I gave this place 5 stars though bc literally everything else we had was so good! Biscuits are light and fluffy! I also picked up some Peach cobbler - amazing! Service was excellent and the wait wasn't too bad! We will be back!
Very good food. There's a line to get in but it moves fast and people rotate out enough that it wasn't hard to find a seat
When we moved to Memphis 4 years ago, Bryant's quickly became our favorite breakfast spot. This is a home cooking/ diner place, not an upscale brunch menu. My husband and I usually get the scrambler, but the pancakes and french toast are loved by our teens. The only dings on the food are the gravy, which is nothing special, and the grits, which are unseasoned. You can make them palatable by adding butter and salt (or sugar if you must) or ask them to add cheese when ordering. Don't panic if there's a line out the door; it moves reasonably fast. Also, don't panic if you think you won't find a table. Bryant's has their timing down so that there's this alchemical kind of magic that the line and the opening up of the tables works. I've never not had a table available after ordering. Please don't save a table when it's busy. You'll mess up the flow. Also, don't forget to tip the server. I see people leave her nothing (because she doesn't take orders?), but she delivers all the food and busses all the tables by herself. She's always there and working hard, so don't forget her.
When looking for breakfast my brothers and I ran across this little gem. The line was around the building. I chose the grits bowl and it was great. I finally found an establishment with good grits. The eggs were flavorful and the sausage was very good. The breakfast is great and made to order Theres a reason the line was wrapped around the building. Definitely worth the visit!
It's been a while since I've gone back since they've changed owners but the food tastes the same and they take card now. My favorites were always the everything omelettes and the sausage pancakes and I still recommend it. The gravy bowl is a good one too!
Best start to your day, from the Atmosphere to the food, pull up a chair sit and talk with a nice cup of hot coffee... I love it here i make it my business to there every friday...
New ownership, same good breakfast. I've enjoyed Bryant's breakfasts for over 20 years. There's no longer a lunch menu, which I sure do miss. They previously had wonderful meat & 3 plates with delicious home cooked veggies.If you haven't been in a while, you can now pay with a credit card (finally) and they're open on Sundays. That's when I stopped in for lunch after church. It was crowded, but I was fortunate enough to get a table.The portions are large & this is hearty food, which is why you'll appreciate the to go boxes sitting by the counter. Like omelets? Best Breakfast in town and I am 37 with 4 kids of My own that I Now bring to Bryants for breakfast the same way My Mama did for Me when I was a little girl. WE LOVE THIS PLACE AND WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY AND EVERYONE.
Bryant's truly offers a great, tasty, and hot breakfast. Their longevity, since 1968, speaks for the awesomeness of the fast and yummy, classic southern breakfast they offer. All the best....biscuits, gravy, eggs, omelets, ham, bacon, sausage, etc. The buttermilk pancakes in several flavors, chocolate chips strawberry banana, blueberry, pecan, nutella, etc, do not disappoint! French toast and big cinnamon rolls! What makes them unique besides the amazing food is the staff! Super friendly, hardworking staff that keep the meals and to go orders coming! They really are WONDERFUL! If visiting Memphis it's a must do for breakfast and if living here all the better to get a great breakfast. They do serve lunch, burgers, BLT, bologna, philly cheese, fries and onion rings, etc!
Basic diner food, great prices and service. Would definitely come back!
