One of my favorite breakfast spots. We actually drive 3 hours to eat breakfast here! The cinnamon roll pancakes are amazing as well as their hollandaise sauce.
Somehow Brother Juniper's has lost its rustic appeal from several years ago, in many small ways. The food is ordinary. I don't taste the biscuits that once made me look forward to traveling a thousand miles. The biscuit is served with commercial jelly instead of a sample of Brother Juniper's own preserves (which would motivate one to purchase a jar to take home). The omelets, grits and coffee are thoroughly mediocre. The charming sign that used to hang outside, very helpful in locating the establishment, is gone. The only remaining vestiges of the breakfast we used to love are friendly service and coffee served in random non-matching mugs.
A great place for breakfast. Family owned. Great food with a Greek flair. Expect to have a wait time but we’ll worth the wait! Garden and lamb omelet was wonderful. There is also a little shop - take home coffee, jams, or a Brother Juniper mug.
We visited for breakfast on our way to Graceland. Wow! We loved everything! We enjoyed the egg dishes, potato dishes and sandwiches! The coffee was high quality served in eclectic mugs! Service was friendly and prompt. Definitely had a local vibe that we loved!!
We were really hungry and had walked there. We sat on the patio which was definitely a different ambiance than inside. Just what we wanted - quiet. It was about 9am on Friday. The environment was casual and the patio was filled at 10:15 when we finished. The three of us got omelets. One veggie delight, which I didn't taste but the recipient liked; one Cheese omelet with onions, peppers & spinach and Swiss cheese. This was delicious but the highlight was the Momma Lil's Special- This is has shredded smoked salmon on the top!! Out of this world!! The potatoes were delicious and I ate many off of everyone's plate. My sister who could eat gluten loved her biscuit. I'm not a biscuit lover so my opinion doesn't count. All in all, a great place to eat. Fast and friendly service by Kelsey was appreciated. If you found this review helpful, please press thank below.
Love it, the food was fresh, and savory. I got the Mama Lil's omelet was very delicious. I also got their hot sauce one of each they are delicious.
First off, this place is POPULAR so expect a wait pretty much no matter when you go. They only do breakfast and close at 2 pm so plan accordingly. That said, the food was excellent. I had a Gravy Benedict, which was like a combination eggs benedict and biscuits & gravy, it was a mess but so good.
No words can even describe how good the Cinnamon swirl pancakes were! 8 months I had been waiting to try these and they really didn't disappoint?
I visited Brother Juniper's to celebrate a birthday and this place came highly recommended. We got there early around 7:30am to avoid a breakfast crowd. We had a large party and we were not able to be seated until everyone arrived. The service was great. The food on the other hand was mediocre. My family eats egg whites. They serve either whole eggs with the yolk or egg white beaters with yellow dye to give the beaters color. I'm not a fan of egg beaters and very finicky when it comes to food so I just went with the beaters for the sake of it because I had already looked over the menu weeks in advance. I gave everything a try on my plate but didn't end up eating most of it. If it weren't for the beaters I would have really enjoyed my omelet. My children loved the bacon and pancakes. The syrup for the pancakes comes in tiny jars which were just the cutest.I personally would not go back, but if you don't mind the beaters I think it would be a decent place for breakfast. Try it for yourself......
A great experience of phenomenal food and customer service. Portions are plentiful but so good there’s not point trying to resist. Fluffy biscuits with a yellow jam (I’m assuming) picked from the heavens is a must for all meals. Fans of spice should go for the fireman and the hungry tiger is a solid choice for anyone! A must for breakfasts willing to deal with a wait in Memphis.
