I have been going to Bayou for about 3 years. The food is decent to good, and the bar staff is excellent. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the wait staff. They are usually impatient, with the inability to hide this detriment. As for the food, again, it is decent to good, depending on what you order. Personally, I like the bacon wrapped shrimp, however, they have raised the prices faaarr beyond what is necessary to compensate for the recent inflation. This is my reason for a 3 star review vs. a four star. The price used to be 18.00. Yesterday it was 26.00. To demonstrate further, I go to a nice steakhouse in Southaven. They sell shrimp and, of course, steaks. Their prices are substantially the same - maybe a dollar or two more, in some cases. But to gig your customers with an 8 dollar increase of a dish is really inexcusable and just plain sleazy. I will not be returning to Bayou.

The food portions were large and the food was absolutely delicious. I have no complaints. I really like that the drink wasn’t watered down. The bread pudding almost made me cry because it taste just like my grandma’s except for the sauce which was a plus! My boyfriend and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary here today and we will be returning.

Fun place to go! Games were on the TV, music plays and there's oysters! The oysters were a little on the dirty side. The food was good, different than anything I've had. The jambalaya tasted more like a Chilli and the hot wings had a different flavor profile all together. Definitely a fun place to check out and try something new!Parking gets crowded so get there early on popular nights.

Came in for lunch. It wasn't pack and our waiter was friendly and the food was pretty good.

First time going tonight for my birthday. I had the crab cakes, white rice and DELICIOUS spinach! I also took a chocolate pecan pie to go, it was just okay. The crab cakes were amazing though! The prices range from $17.00 to $20+ for entrees. They have coca-cola products and a bar where they serve liquor and beer. The setting is industrial with screens that show sports. It's a lively place. The waitress was nice as well. I will be going back.

I met a friend girl here for lunch. It's in a nice part of town and the crowd was very diverse. The atmosphere wasn't too bad in fact it was very chill, I'll definitely be going back sometime soon. Although they were short-staffed they were very accommodating and the wait time wasn't too long. We tried a bit of everything but my main dish was the red beans and rice. It wasn't too bland but it wasn't what I expected. Very filling portion though.

Came to Bayou while in Memphis for the evening since we wanted some southern Cajun food. We don’t have a lot to choose from in Oklahoma. There is plenty of FREE parking nearby and on both sides on the restaurant. The wait time for us on Saturday evening was about 15-20 minutes but definitely worth it. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Drinks are cheap/affordable along with the food. Definitely and I say this LOUDLY…try try try the Zydeco wings and get the 10 piece (trust me), those are best flavorful wings we have ever ate. The sauce is absolutely delicious to the point we stuck our fingers at the bottom and licked them..lol. It’s sweet with a bit of kick at the end, so addicting that we purchased some sauce to go lol. Wife had the seafood gumbo which she enjoyed however the gravy could’ve had a better flavor and been thicker but that’s just me. I had the jambalaya, oh my oh my, that’s what Im taking about, on point with shrimp, gator, ham, andouille and chicken in Cajun trinity sauce with rice is delicious. The flavor was great and had a just the right amount of heat —definitely recommend this as well over the gumbo IMO. The vibe was relaxing with good music, also outdoor patio seating available at times. The gratuity is included on the bill. We will definitely be coming back

I've always loved the food but not the service. I came back after a few years to find the same bad service BUT now you have to pay gratuity whether it's due or not. The lady at the desk says, after I asked about the 10% service fee for take out, that people did not tip. I told her you guys have never been known for good service. Apparently it's 18% if you dine in. Needless to say I will never. There was also .25 added for to go orders. Correction for EACH item ordered.Note I had to return to location because my food was incomplete and they refused to refund the 5.00+ service charge. It should have been since I had to return the following day on my dime and time. I brought the entire uneaten plate back.

Really busy towards the end of brunch but amazing as always! Good service and great food!!! Had some of the best char broiled Gulf Coast oysters north of I-10 and the Benedict Royal (smoked salmon) was poached perfection?

A former classmate invited me out for lunch, this will be a first and last... A waiter/busboy dropped silverware on the floor and instead of picking up, he started kicking it with his foot all the way to the back. I reported to manager and he told me that he was sorry that I had to witness that.... He acted nonchalant.
