Total diner, no frills. Very friendly vibe and atmosphere. Staff is super friendly. Get here early because they're not open for dinner.
This is a time capsule restaurant. The interior is basically a 1970s feel. Yes it's got the wood paneling. It's the type of place that invokes memories of eating breakfast with your grandparents or parents. It has a comfort vibe. Food is very good. The coffee is not good. I like to call it church coffee. Very watered-down. I recommend bringing a couple of shots of espresso to pour in to your coffee to get the octane up. It is the only problem with the place. All other drinks are good. This place is popular on the weekends. So plan on a possible wait. Breakfast and lunch are the only two meals they serve.
Great friendly service, breakfast came fast and good, within 10 minutes from entering I was eating my eggs and Micky Mouse pancakes....
What a great little place my son and I found . We both had omelets grits and toast and it was really good. Price is right. People are so friendly...seems like everyone are regulats there.
Always a 10 out of 10 even after 8 plus years of coming here. The food is always fresh & the staff never cease to amaze - they literally go above & beyond! Super quant & relaxed. The vibe is always wholesome no matter the time or day! If you’ve never been I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
WOW !The place location and atmosphere was really nice. But what made my experience the best was the people. With employees like you have greeting their guests all from which know each other by name. What stood out the most was Carol. She was our waitress and a pleasure to speak with. Her Witt and responses made my day. I am visiting from just east of Nashville and head one of my grandchildren with me my grandson. A beautiful couple across the restaurant from me we're so nice and spoke nice things to him and myself. I was so taken by this I asked Carol for their ticket and ask for no acknowledgement as to who paid for it because I do believe as well as y'all displayed with your behavior. People Are People. It doesn't matter the color creed young or old. Treat somebody with respect and honor and display the love in which we all have in our hearts that's the way life should be that's the world I live in and I found a sanctuary in Midtown Memphis. Barksdale restaurant will be a staple and a destination of anticipation of good food good friends and certainly a good time. Once again wow! I am so blessed to have found this place. Great local place. Breakfast is always good and so is the service. Definitely a locals spot and I would highly recommend to anyone visting from out of town.
A great local breakfast spot in Memphis. The food and service was delicious. I really enjoyed the Greek omelet. The ham is amazing as well. Highly recommended!
I love this cute neighborhood place. Omelets, biscuits, and hashbrowns are on the money! I wasn't a big fan of the gravy, but it's okay. I like what I make at home much better. The service is great though, super friendly and quick.
This place has delicious homestyle breakfast food and a very friendly staff. I highly recommend.
