The food was fantastic. Definitely try the carbonara. The bar was crowded by 6:00 PM. It gets very noisy in the bar. So much so that communicating with the bartender becomes difficult. They could use some acoustic improvements. Otherwise, a nice atmosphere with really good food. No TVs in the bar.
Highly recommend reservations. We were lucky and got a seat at the bar.Our bartender was also our server. He was very patient as he helped us select cheese to go with our appetizer. We had the Zucchini fritters with goat cheese. For our entree I've ordered pasta carbonara and my spouse ordered roasted tomato orzo with crab meat. We had the strawberry gelato for dessert. Highly recommend this restaurant. Please note that these are small plate servings and everything is individual. This is a great place for a birthday, anniversary or any other kind of special evening.
Overpriced IMO. Very good food and service was spotty for a weeknight. It took 3 requests to get a lime for my water? The cocktail prices were almost big city prices. I think portions a bit small...3 medium sized scallops should have been 4 if not larger.
We had a great time. Knowledgeable and accommodating staff. Great menu and wine list. We had rounds of food and ALL the desserts they offered. Loved it! I highly recommend!
Big shout out to Mr. Coleman at the bar. Great bar service last weekend. My date may have harbored fascist-leaning beliefs, but the meal and service was top-notch. Will be back.
This is one the best “truly/authentic” Italian restaurants. I love their selection of seafood and how they are not afraid of having octopus and smelt on their menu. The negative that I have experienced: I had a plate of sardines, and they were definitely not fresh. And as a result, I had digestive problems for 2 days.
Great food and service. Hunter, bartender, one of the best in Memphis. Try his Old Fashioned Earl Grey!
Tried it several times and always think I might like it better if I order something else. Never an enjoyable meal. New location decor is sterile at best.
Bari is consistently good. It’s like coming home to your Italian best friend! I’ve never been disappointed with any of the dishes there. I know they’re made with love and you can taste it! I’m especially fond of the Italian cheeses, their house-made bread, all the antipasti selections, the sardines, bronzini, prawns and grouper, and of course the carbonara. The wait staff are kind and knowledgeable, especially Hunter in the bar. He knows the food and wine/cocktails well and won’t steer you wrong. I can’t wait to come back! ❤️
Wonderful place. Worth the money
