Went to the park and walked over to this just to find out what I been missing. Had a couple adult drinks and a meal. Me and my family was impressed. I should have been coming through. ??

Junk food, terrible service. Mandatory 20% tip for nothing. Over charged for drinks I didn't order. Yelled at And physically intimidated by a bar back for complaining.

First the good.Give me a minute I'm thinking..Two.1. The bartender, very nice, attentive and a force of nature behind the bar, thanks Allie, you're amazing. It's over 21 only, so I can smoke.Bad.Pricey menu, not a big eater so I decided on the Mexican Street corn soup.Disgusting, bland corn that's never seen a grill or firebox with a cloying base so bad that after a half a bourbon and coke and my mouth still has a horrible greasy feel.Final insult to injury, the place adds a mandatory 20% "gratuity"To the owner, call it was it is a service change.Definition of gratuity: something given voluntarily or beyond obligation usually for some service

My wife and I stumbled on to Bardog Tavern in downtown Memphis while on the first leg of our extended road trip and couldn’t have been more pleased. Food was great (try grandma’s meatballs) and everything about this restaurant exudes quality and the friendliness we experienced throughout our stay in Memphis. Sat next to, and visited with, Eric Bourgeouis (marketing manager for owner, Aldo Dean) and he made our experience just that much better. My wife and I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you’re looking for very good food and a fun place to spend some quality time. Aldo Dean, you’ve got a good thing going in downtown Memphis. Great job!

When thinking late-night Memphis eats, Cookout or maybe Dixie Queen probably comes to mind for a lot. But Bardog has just made the top of the list in my book. Looking at this triple layered club at 1 a.m. beats anything else here in this town that I've been served past midnight. Congrats on being awesome. Good food, good service, good vibes. Always appreciated. -Thanks for reading-

Great service and ambiance. It’s feels like you are at Cheers bar from the famous TV show. Definitely, a place to go!

Warm and friendly welcome from the locals and the staff, nice local beer at a reasonable price, Food was great and if we are fortunate enough to visit again we would go again. portions are generous so don’t order everything at once ??

Food and service are above average. They added a 20% automatic gratuity to my bill for a sandwich and a beer. I dislike this practice. I would have tipped more had it not been done for me.

I read a review online about a customer who said this place had the best hot dogs in Memphis and awesome fries, so I popped in. They were not exaggerating. I got the dog of the day, which was pretty simple, ketchup, mustard, onions, tomatoes. Didn’t think it’d be the size of two hot dogs!! And the fries were some of the best I’ve had - like a crunchier, higher end version of McDonald’s fries, and I mean that as a compliment. We all know how addictive McDonalds fries can be!My one qualm is there is a required 20% gratuity calculated into the bill, which normally I wouldn’t mind, but I felt like my waitress used it as an excuse to provide lazy service. She walked by me several times, wasn’t too friendly, and didn’t even introduce herself so it was hard to get her attention.Overall, check this place out!

Can't speak highly enough about this place! Such a great spot with good music, great drinks, and excellent food. The prices are fair and the bartenders downstairs on Saturday Feb 5 were top notch. I'm not a huge fan of the bar scene but this was a pleasant surprise
