It's straight. Idk what to say about it. The guy that took my order was friendly and when I had an issue he took care of it. It's just not the best bbq in Memphis to me. Everything was ok. Will I return? No. Then I don't like the small parking lot. The raggedy street leading to the parking lot is horrible if you have rims or special tires like I do. Then the area where you place your order is extremely small. When other patrons enter, it's like jam packed. Two of us entered...ok, that was fine. Then a family of 4 entered. We had to step outside because there is no space. Why they have tables and didn't offer us to sit at these tables so we wouldn't be packed in that small space was crazy. The business survived the pandemic so maybe there's something good there. I just didn't receive it that day. The look seasoning they put on top of everything is salty af. The bbq sauce is thin and vinegar. An option with a thicker and sweet bbq sauce would help out the taste with the salty af seasoning they put on everything. Sweet and salty would equal balance. Again, idc for it but others obviously do.
Life changing BBQ. My two friends were making blissed out, happy noises while eating their rib tips. I was eating the pulled turkey. It was soooooo delicious. And the sauce!!!!!! I will be back today to buy some bottles to take back to Colorado. Forever Fans! The three ladies who you gave free peanut butter cookies. (These were also excellent! Thx!)
Had planned to go to a diff BBQ place, but couldn't find parking so ended up here...So glad that I did!! The ribs were downright amazing!! It's a small place & looks a little shady, but looks can be deceiving & the food is well worth the stop!
If there were more stars to give, BallHoggerz would get them. Mana from heaven kind of BBQ. If you don't eat here while in Memphis you will be doing your taste buds, yourself, and your country a disservice. It's just that good.We had a half slab and a combo plate, potato salad, slaw, and beans. Every bit of it fantastic.
The food was excellent and the dude behind the counter was friendly and cool! 5 stars in my book!
This is the BBQ conjured when you picture that standard delicious plate of smoked meaty goodness. When we ate here the guy was one-man banding it, taking orders, serving, and fixin it up. He treated us like regulars and rounded out a very pleasant experience.
Visited for my first time, and ordered the turkey leg and a butter cookie. The turkey leg was delicious! ? Seasoned to perfection and the juice from the turkey leg was good also! Packaged very well to prevent mess and to eat on the go as well. The butter cookie tasted just like the ones from school. Will be returning again!! ?
Traveled from stl and when I say I have never in my life tasted BBQ as good as this place!! ? I LITERALLY WAS AMAZED. We will definitely be back.
So glad I tried this spot! Took a chance and BallHoggerz did not disappoint- so so good. Very generous portions- tender ribs and pulled pork - tasty sides - amazing sauce! BBQ can be hit or miss in town. This one is a winner!
I have not been to every BBQ spot in Memphis, but this is the only one I'm going back to. It's fantastic. I'm currently trying to figure out how to get the dry rub shipped to me by the gallon. There's no where better than Ball Hoggerz. I will be back!
