I excitedly brought a group of friends here for a pre-birthday celebration dinner. This was a whole different experience from my first visit. The music was so loud we asked to sit in the back. (Stll loud back there) The genre was cool, but dang! Does the funeral home next door need to hear it? The food was okay this time. The margarita flights are a fun treat, but not enough to bring us back. Our waitress was trying to hang in there, but you could tell she was irritated at the slightest thing. The automatic gratuity... i get it. But, 18% is all they will get when you do that.This could be such a fun place for Memphis! Come on, ya'll! You're winners, show up like winners!Until you all get this place cleaned up, turn the music down, stop assuming I'm a thief and making me show a stamped receipt to get out the door, I'll have to take my business elsewhere. This also communicates to your customers your restaurant is not a safe place to be. Based on the lack of full tables on a Friday night, you might wanna make some changes pretty quick. There's only so many first time customers...
Run don’t walk from this restaurant. Cover charge on Friday/Saturday nights, music way to loud cannot enjoy a conversation, food is mediocre, and drinks were terrible, staff was rude. So many better Mexican restaurants around town that have a much better atmosphere.

Food is horrible and they tried to charge a cover charge at the door ?
This place turns into something else after a certain time. The food was mediocre the drinks were good. 1st time here and didn't know what to expect. I believe if it turns into an adult atmosphere no kids should be allowed in after a certain time. Seeing young kids there where things turned into a "club" in a sense was completely inappropriate and the owners shouldn't allowed. I gave it 2 stars because the drink were the best part of the menu.
Agavos, is a wonderful restaurant, with great food.The prices are nice, and the portions were impressive.The whole experience was wonderful. Our waitress (Tony) is why we will definitely be returning there.Prompt service, professional, personable, welcoming, and funny.You'd be hard pressed to find a better waitress, in all of Memphis.I highly recommend Agavos Cocina and Taquila.???
The food and drinks were great the server was slow with taking orders and brining drinks. Then they sat us by the utility closet all i could smell was piney mop water. But the staff was friendly and i think they might have been shirt staffed. I will go back
Alcoholic drinks are great. Food is terrible. Ordered nachos that came with queso on them but the queso was scare. Ordered more cheese for 4$ and it was maybe 4 tablespoons of cheese. Will eat before I ever go again. I didn’t eat the food but I still paid.
Me and a couple of friend with here this is the worst. The manager acts as if he don’t care about his customers and the waiter when asked to replace an order they don’t do refund nor will they prepare you another meal if your food is not hot. Also the waiter was rude talking back and getting smart repeatedly. I will never spend my money here ever again. I suggest just go to Happy Mexican with reasonable prices on food and drinks .
This place is absolutely horrible. Staff kept bringing other people orders to our table. Took my order only to come back and tell me the owner didn't get everything they needed to make the order. Then they gave me a ticket for one price and charged my card a totally different price. Didn't find out until I checked my account next day and seen charge. Lucky I have my receipt so my bank canceled the transaction and only sending them the amount on receipt. I wouldn't recommend even a animal to give them business.
