Went there early afternoon. Place was busy with a steady flow of traffic. I had the rib tips onion rings and okra. The food was good but the meat could have been a bit more tender. This meat was cooked over real wood. I could taste the smoke. It makes all the difference. For real barbecue you have to go to the hood!
The beef ribs is not cook at all a&r is a Memphis thing Bryan Father had the best ribs in town this is Memphis it's not just about money this. About you family legacy we need the a&R that we love and know
I tried to phone in my order. I was put on hold. When the person came back to take my order, I was at the store getting out of my car. This has happened about 4 times. They are too slow and attitudes are not good. I think they all need more training. I only purchase Rob tips, onion rings and peach cobbler at least twice in a week. Sometimes the rib tips are awful and old meat. At times they are not well cooked and they never put enough sauce on them. The workers out front talk with each other rather than serve the customers. You went up on prices, but you don't give better service. Thank you for contacting me on line because I would have never got the chance to discuss my problem with you.
The food is delicious, but the wait is like forever! Unorganized is an understatement. Order online for pickup, wait at 30-45 minutes after the pickup time, otherwise u will be waiting on your order as if u were a walk in.
BEST BBQ sandwich in Memphis or anywhere else. Make sure to use A & R's HOT sauce. It's not that it is hot, just very rich and flavorful.
“Anyone can put the heat to meat but only a few can Bar-B-Q” is right if you are looking for great BBQ, A&R is your place! I had a the rib tips plate with okra and fries and it hit the spot. I will be back!
This place should be much better than it is. They have all the flavors, the slaw and potato salad are great. The pulled pork was really good, the sauces are tangy and flavorful. A couple of rookie /crucial mistakes though. The beef ribs were severally under cooked, they were very tough to eat, and cold in the middle. They should be tender, and I'd guess they were pulled about 2 hours too soon. They were also flooded with sauce. Way too much sauce, it was all you could taste. Combined with the undercooked meat, I had to give up on them after one and half ribs. If I only ordered the ribs, I'd be giving them a 1 or a 2. The pulled pork saves it though, so I went with 3 stars.
The turkey burger and wings are delicious. I attended a Superbowl party a this location and I must say, everything was clean and the service was superb.
its good food but not everyone like their sandwich drowned with sauce!
