I was so excited about coming home visiting family and eating A&R BBQ that it was my first stop. After getting to my hotel to finally eat, I was so disappointed to find a lonnnnnnnng strand of hair in my chopped turkey sandwich!!! I was so disgusted. I immediately threw up and completely lost my appetite. So upset ?!!! Where are the hair nets ???? Wasted $40 all to throw food away!!!! DO BETTER!
We went to A and R for our first of many visits to come on July 4 2022. It has fair prices and really good food! We had the ribs ,beans, and potato salad. Everything was great ! I think I could live on just the potato salad!
Solid BBQ. I rank it #4 best in all of Memphis. Located in the hood.
Finally, I was able to get some A&R bar b q. Due to lights being out because of a storm and different operating hours, I was not able to get any. When I did get some, I was very happy!!! From the people coming and going, I can say they were happy as well. I ordered 2(me&mom) large bar b q sandwiches plus a order of fries! It was well worth the wait! Everything was hot!!! There was so much meat on the sandwich you had to hold it with 2 hands. I got slaw on the side instead of on my sandwich! My mom loved it so much, she asked me, Where did I get it from? Yes, I have been there 3 times in the last month!! Please go and visit the location on Elvis Presley
The best bbq I’ve ever had in my life. If you’re visiting it’s worth the trip. Skip all the downtown stuff cause this is where it’s at. The ladies were also so sweet and made me feel so welcomed on my way to the airport. The ribs were EXCELLENT
Let me preface this with everyone's palet is different. This restaurant recommended to me so I dropped in as i was passing through Memphis.I ordered the rib tips, the meat was very tough and the sauce was supposed to be spicy and it had "NO" kick, maybe they gave me mild instead, the green beans were salty and the coleslaw was waaay too sweet.I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone i know.As long as the locals like it i guess that's all that matters.
Salt of the earth kinda place, with many different items of southern cuisine to choose from , now that I think about it I should have asked if they have there sauce bottled , I would have bought one, ok about the food I was told I would get 4 large ribs and I actually got 3 medium ribs , but everything else I got was amazing shoulder sandwich ( pulled pork)baked beans and green beans with smoked turkey and a fried sweet potato pie . Fun fact as I got off the highway there was also signed for stars records museum right there. A&R barbecue of west Memphis is a staple here and a must to stop for southern home cooking .
Bbq was perfect!!! Best rib tips I've ever had from a restaurant. Will definitely be back whenever I'm driving through the M-Town. Its a most. Also got food in a timely manner, restroom were super clean.
Unexplainably good the best barbecue in Memphis some will say Neely's now you have better now it is a&r barbecue from those scrumptious ribs hips to that perfected barbecue sauce to the fried pickles which I didn't get none when I was in Memphis this time but in the fried apple pie baby
I wrote a favorably review 2 yrs ago I can always count on them but yesterday March 11 Friday around 330 pm the food was horrible this is the second time food washout and they left out my desert again . Rib tips were tough and the cheeseburger the beef was not fresh ok twice is enough I spent over 50 $ twice.
