This was our first date night in months. The entire staff was kind and welcoming. Our steaks were both cooked to perfection at a timely manner. The shareable sides were oozing with greatness.(Not mention the secret Belle Tavern in the back was a perfect night cap to the entire experience)We will be returning!

Relaxing environment, friendly and efficient service and great food I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. The menu and wine list are extensive. My server and the sommelier were very helpful. I had a vodka martini, a dozen excellent oysters and a bone-in steak which was cooked perfectly. Not a cheap choice but well worth it.

The food was absolutely amazing, however the amount of time it took was not so great. Joey was an excellent server, she was so sweet! The entire staff was friendly and inviting. Therefore I will definitely check this place out again, but will be sure not to have plans right after. Pictured below was the Shrimp and Grits entree . I also tried the seared tuna appetizer. It was the best seared tuna snack ever!! Oh and the Caesar salad was everything my food buds ever longed for.

Stumbled upon this gem by chance and did not regret my decision. We didn’t have a reservation so opted to sit at the bar. Even with this the service was top notch to that you’d expect table-side. The staff was all hands on deck where not just our waiter made sure we were taken care of.Onto the food itself. Steaks were cooked exactly as ordered vs. ordering at a temp lower to avoid the meat coming out overcooked (a commonality at most steakhouses). Portions were VERY generous and of good value. In a city known mainly for it’s barbecue it can sometimes be hard to find places that don’t fit into that category. Definitely give Prime a try if you’re in the mood for a nice steak. Very convenient, especially if you’re staying at the Peabody (2 minute walk).

One of the best meals I have ever had. Jo our server was wonderful. Jake the manager was a tremendous help and recommended the perfect bottle of wine to go with our dinner. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and was hands down 10x better than any steak I have ever had at a restaurant. 10/10 recommend having dinner at 117 Prime!

Restauranteurs Craig Blondis and Roger Sapp teammed up with chef Ryan Trimm to turn Sunrise Memphis into one of the best breakfast destinations you could hope to find. And they did the same with 117 Prime when they recreated the traditional American steakhouse. Located at 117 Union Avenue, in downtown Memphis, a block from the Peabody Hotel, it is open from 4 to 10 Tuesday through Saturday and offers a classic dining room with a stylish bar. Love the menu. My wife and started with shrimp cocktail, French onion soup and Caesar salad with Romaine, Caesar dressing, anchovies and grilled croutons. For an entree, my wife chose a deviled crab stuffed flounder with spinach, shiitake batter and crisp sweet potatoes. Of all the seafood we eat on a regular basis, flounder is one of the most delicious. I couldn't pass up a premium steak at a steakhouse. I opted for a 10-ounce filet of Angus beef with bearnaise sauce, potatoes au gratin and grilled asparagus. The dessert menu is first-class, too. After a lengthy deliberation, we decided to share a chocolate tart with caramel sauce and an apple and peach cobbler with French vanilla ice cream. 117 Prime checks all the boxes...atmosphere, food, service.

The main corses were lacking. I would rate a 5 for appetizers, service, and drinks. The main corses were awful. The stuffed flounder was too spicy but the flounder without the extra spice would have been great. Was sad I had to scrape it out.I swear my husband ordered an over priced prime and got a 10 oz slab of mediocre meat. Very disappointed. Spent too much money on less than mediocre. Don’t offer me a coupon. I’ll be there for anything but drinks and appetizers. Won’t offer you up for a business dinner as that would be embarrassing. You almost got it… I can overlook the over spice in a stuffed fish, but not your overpricing a steak that you don’t even serve

Great food. Excellent bourbon list.

Reservation was easy. Location easy to find. Parking was inexpensive, even though we could of used valet.Con first. A weird smell upon entering, but soon dissipated during the evening. Fairly pricey, but understandable for setting. Now the Pros. Very inviting staff, especially our server Chris. Food was cooked to perfection and came to table timely and hot. Very spacious and even with a decent crowd, could still talk low enough to remain intimate. Lighting was an issue for me, but still leave a pro(I'm 50yrs old and a vet, eye sight poor?). So if you're looking for a very nice meal, an even nicer staff and off the beaten path. This is your spot.

I was focused on taking my time and enjoying every bite and this was the best place for that. My waiter was courious, helpful, and fun. They have the best happy hour in town! Menu is solid with fair prices. I had the filet which was delightful. The Brussels sprouts were amazing and the loaded baked potato is the size of a Volkswagen. The fresh chives really set it off. Alexa visited the table to make sure everything was good. I appreciated that. I had a great experience!
