A short bike ride from the campus of Maryville College brought us to this centrally located downtown restaurant. Quick service from a friendly server. Good menu selection lead to an exceptional burger. Sweet potato fries were prepared just-right and served hot. Moscow and Kentucky Mules were just the right drinks for a 95 degree day. We will come back if we visit the area again.
Came through to town from Florida for first college tour. 9:15 when we arrived and 10 they close. Many patrons still dining. Service was not at all coming or good. No personality, slow and forgot drinks that sat at bar. Beers were not super cold either. Food came out in a timely matter and looked good. But was not fries were cold as well as the two burgers and chicken. Music was so loud when we arrived you could feel the base in your chest. Kinda was real excited about stopping in here too. Atmosphere seems to have good vibe. Everyone has an off night. I’d try it one more time and see how pizza goes.
Great restaurant/bar! Everything on the menu looked good and there were lots of beer options. The waitresses were very nice and fast. I would definitely come again!
Different style pizza than I was used to. They were fantastic. Their selection of micro brew beers were amazing and the food was all outstanding. Stop in... get one of their amazing custom pizzas ... have a cold drink... What else could you ask for?
Good service, nice ambiance. We often sit at the bar to eat and sample the fantastic selection of ever changing craft beer. The food is good! Try the shrimp appetizer. Shrimp and grits was excellent. Pizzas and Calzones are always a good choice but the menu is varied so they are choices for pretty much everyone with some vegan options. One of our favorite Bar/restaurants to visit. Reasonable prices.
Upstairs banquet room buffet isn’t worth doing. Minimum $400 bill to reserve, had 13 pizzas and small salad with soft drinks and they charged $586.00. Total rip off as we could have ordered 13 pizzas and drinks and it wouldn’t have cost over $300. They had us down for 20 people in which I called the morning of to add two more people then before everyone arrived (about 30 mins before) I told the waitress an additional 2. They brought out 8 pizzas, which went quickly, then took about 20 mins to get more pizzas out on the buffet. The waitress was not friendly at all until she handed me the bill and was all smiles thanking me. I talked with the manager and she was no help. Stood there with a little smile/smirk saying they didn’t have us down for more people. She said there was a traveling manager that I probably talked with that morning and she didn’t put it in the system of additional people. Sorry but not my fault the staff didn’t do what they were suppose to do. Safe to say I will never use the banquet room again at Blue Tick.
Some places are famous for good reasons; this is one of them. The combination of food, service, and atmosphere is very hard to beat. My wife had a very nice Reuben, while I opted for the old favorite, shrimp & grits... both were terrific.
Nice place. Pizza was real good. Really good side salads.Disappointing menu though in my opinion for a tavern. Lots of things sounded good, but then you look and it’s plant based “meat” only. We didn’t come to a tavern for plant based meat.
After having been about half a dozen times I just can't find anything special about Bluetick Tavern. Food is good, but it can get in line with the 25 other want-to-be novel pizza & bars in the area. Pizza is decent, drinks are just like everywhere else.
Service was amazing! We had fried green tomatoes and spinach queso... both were really good. Our burgers were amazing and the Brussel sprout side was delicious. I can't wait to go back and try the pizza!
