Excellent local italian restaurant with gourmet level recipes.I drove by this restaurant many times with the assumption it was a pizza and beer only kind of place. How wrong I was! Yes, pizza is a central item on the menu but they have other options such as salmon and shrimp dish pictured. Amici also offers excellent assortment of US and Italian wines. Bartenders were very knowledgeable on wine selections for recommendations. Amici only has beer and wine alcoholic offering.Vegetarian options: Pizza can be vegetarian but no vegan options I noticed. Parking: Own parking lot on traffic circle... a little tricky to get in/out of.
Went to Amici based on a recommendation. Very disappointing to us. We ordered the smoked chicken Alfredo and the chicken Parmesan. The Alfredo had maybe four or five pieces of chicken, not much sauce, And very bland. We asked for some Parmesan cheese and black pepper, and they brought little packets of pizza seasonings that said Parmesan, garlic, oregano. All things that should’ve already been added to the dish prior. I will say for the chicken Parm, the piece of chicken was large and very tender, but maybe a pennies worth of pasta with it. Not great flavor. I was very surprised there was no bread offered, and if you wanted a salad, it was extra. So to pay 23 and $24 for those two meals was ridiculous. Had high hopes for a good Italian meal. Will not return.
Fantastic food that was expertly prepared. The Smoked Chicken & Mushroom Arancini was among the best I've ever had. The crust was perfect and the risotto interior was not over done. For the main course the chicken Parmesan was perfectly balanced with crispy chicken, flavorful cheeses and homemade pasta. The chicken Alfredo was, once again, some of the best I've ever eaten. The pasta is homemade and it shows. Priced notably less than Bella or Foothills Milling restaurant, Amici fills a void in the Maryville restaurant scene. Worth every cent. The only reason I could not give 5 stars was that the restaurant is searching for an identity. Their motto "Pizza Pasta Beer" and wait staff wearing T shirts hardly match the Michelin Star level of food.

Absolutely one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten! Stumbled on Amici’s because of our grandson’s basketball game. The restaurant wasn’t full at 5:30, but all tables were reserved. We ate at the bar and Taylor was amazing…gave great suggestions, was attentive and friendly. I had the chicken Parmesan and my husband had sourdough crust pizza! Definitely enough food for another meal. We got macrons to go and they were heavenly! Would definitely return and highly recommend this incredible restaurant!
I called to get take out since I live less than half a mile from the restaurant. I ride a bike everywhere and when I got my food, it was packaged perfectly. I was able to put it in my bike basket and when I got home it was still hot. As far as the quality of the food: I had a pizza with Ricotta base and half Italian sausage half smoked chicken Alfredo. Best pizza I have EVER had. And that's saying a lot because I was born in raised in Chicago! And despite what New Yorkers would have you believe, CHICAGO has the best ?. So in summary: great atmosphere (small, quiet, small bar), staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the food is very high quality.

Made a 5 pm reservation …glad we did by 5:45 ever table was full . We had the Sicilian pie… procuitto pie as apps. Couldn’t finish the Sicilian took it home . Main course shrimp and grits with an Italian twist and the braised beef . It was excellent . I recommend getting there early when they open . Reservation a must especially on a Saturday night . Looking forward to going back !!
My wife and I really enjoyed Amici. You apparently should get a reservation. We got super lucky and were able to snag a table right when they opened. She got the Chicken Parm and I got a Butternut Squash and Bacon pizza on the gluten free crust (cauliflower/parmesan). Both were fantastic! Great atmosphere and service. We will be back when we are back in the area.
