Came in for buffet and wow. Nothing like the old Shoney’s experience. The buffet food was worse quality than cafeteria food; absolutely no seasoning. Corn tasted like water. Rolls were inedible so we asked our waiter to bring more. They brought more but I couldn’t chew them. I’ve left a pic of the rolls below. This Shoney’s makes Golden Corral look good.
Excellent food, and service staff. It was super busy and the personnel on site were very friendly and professional. Will definitely recommend the buffet as that's the thing to get. They were in constant restock mode and nothing ran out even with a house full of hungry Easter goers. Excellent job everyone!!
I was so happy to see a Shoney's that was open. I have always enjoyed their breakfast buffet. This one had a smaller selection of items but it was hot and fresh and made for a great meal.
The restaurant looks nice and was very clean, but when we walked in, we could smell the mop water on the freshly mopped floor. The hosting staff and waitress were very nice. The problem for me was the food selection on the buffet. Several bland, high carb options, overcooked meat, canned fruit, and underwhelming flavor. We stopped in for nostalgia, and we were quickly reminded why we left. We went to a gas station down the road and got something else to eat right after we left. The price plus tip set us back $40 for 2. My husband asked that I continue to cook at home.
Came in to eat and relax on a Wednesday afternoon. Excellent service, quality buffet food, menu items made to order - even their chips are made in house. An all around top notch experience.
We eat here because our 5 year old will eat the fruit and veggies. Nothing is homemade. It's a bit overpriced for the buffet that doesn't include drinks. But, service is ALWAYS good or great. Plus, they have free balloons. 2 adults and 1 child = $37, before tip.
Well run, clean establishment. Food good and fresh. Breakfast bar was very good. Kim is an excellent wait person.
I haven't been here in many years. We had a birthday brunch & reserved the back room. The food was delicious!! It was very neat & clean, was recently remodeled & the service was excellent.
The food was good, the staff was very nice and friendly. The place was very clean and presented a nice atmosphere. The buffet was quite disappointing to me, not enough selection of vegetables! Half of the buffet was breakfast items and the other half was a very pitiful dinner selection. I did enjoy grits and eggs with sausage links. The green beans were very good, but mashed potatoes were too dry. The price is too high for the meal I had, makes me wish I was a senior citizen.
Great service always. Breakfast is the best! All the good stuff without having to cook it.
