Yes, it’s awesome. We drive a lot from SC to MO and back. Lebanon is our halfway point, so a nice evening meal lights up this frequent road trip. So glad to have found this place. Venue of the old Castle Military Academy adds charm, not to mention roomy parking. The service included many folks doting on us throughout the meal even though our primary server provided ample attention. The FOOD was the best part. As unglamorous as a Veggie Bowl, an appetizer of fried pickles, a Caesar salad, and a Reuben sandwich may sound, it was all top-level delicious. As a vegan, I found the cheese-less veggie bowl to be perfectly seasoned as if another thoughtful vegan may have done the work—-a rare experience in a restaurant that otherwise focuses on excellent meat options. My husband and I will be back many times.
Food was just okay and am not a fan of skinny French fries that are like toothpicks. Give me a nice thick French fry or steak fry and for 12.50 for a burger it should include fries at that price point. To spend an extra $3 for fries is ridiculous. The menu overall to us was very pricey and just because of that we will not be back. Staff was bery nice and waiter we had was very attentive.
We visited for dinner on Friday with our son and future daughter in law for the first time and had Linda C. As our server. We had such a great time, service and food that my husband and I went back for lunch on Saturday. We had Linda c. Again :). I had the veggie bowl and my husband had the club....we can't wait to come back. If I may say, your website photos don't do your food justice :)
Sammy B's has great menu options for everyone. Two of my kids are vegetarian and this restaurant was the perfect fit for family dinner. The waitress was fabulous! My son hit a deer on the way to meet us and the waitress immediately asked if he was okay. We had ordered for him because he was just a few minutes out and she ran to the kitchen and had them put our meal on hold. My other son went and picked him up; then brought him to the restaurant.Once again, our waitress checked on him and so did several other staff. The food is off the charts taste wise but it is the employees that can make or break a business. The employees here go above and beyond.
great service by our waitperson. The chicken and asparagus was excellent and the salmon my friend had was also very good. Salad was fresh and bread excellent too.
They put on my Dad's celebration of life. They are the BEST people, and it is the coolest place, tons of history I highly recommend for a fun night out, or events.
Food is amazing the chicken on the row is delicious. The steak and biscuits app is a must
Appetizers and my steak was excellent. My husband's not so much, kinda bland. Server was preoccupied and forgetful. However being with people that know the manager was a plus. Will go back and try other dishes.
We found this gem, and it's only 1/2 mile from our home! Nice atmosphere, comfortable environment. Gluten free friendly. Favorite appetizers: Uga Dip and Artichoke Fritte (honeslty, people, the artichoke is worth the trip). Favorite Mains: Tenderloin Tips over the Top and Ahi Tuna Sushi Grade Favorite Salad: Strawberry Fields of bleu Solid and consistent service and food. Recommend reservations on busy days.
What a fun place; an older home remodeled into a restaurant with stairs and a beautiful chandelier in the entry. Friendly wait staff and delicious food. It looked like a hang out for the locals so it had to be good since it was quite busy.
