If you find yourself in Lebanon and looking for good barbeque, New Moon should be on your list. The food itself is pretty damn good. Working through the plentiful decor on the walls will keep you occupied for a while. The only gripe I have is with the understanding of how they go about their business. My party and I sat around for about 10 minutes waiting for refills to go and how/where we were to pay. We got there right as they opened, so there were only four other tables with guests by the time we were ready for the checks. The price point is average for quality smoked meats, and I really enjoyed the cornbread. Definitely recommend the mac and cheese.
I love leaving positive reviews unfortunately this will not be one of them. We are really disappointed because this restaurant in the past has been really good. But our last two visits were disappointing. Tonight was pretty awful. I don’t use words like that lightly so let me put a few details to it. On the good side the tables were clean and we were greeted and served promptly. On the downside, my wife had the brisket and turkey and her brisket was probably 75% fat. I had the brisket and ribs. My brisket was probably 50% fat and my order of ribs consisted of two ribs which I paid a premium for on the combination plate one rib had maybe three bites of meat on it and the other rib had one bite. I am not kidding. My broccoli casserole was mushy and basically the only ingredients seem to be broccoli. No casserole. Our waitress never checked on us to see how everything was and even when I paid our bill she didn’t ask how is everything. I tipped her 15% because the food being bad is not her fault. And it’s tough right now for lots of people. We left and looked at each other and said “I think this place is now off our list.“ Maybe will give it another try but I’m not sure. With tip our meal was $43. And that’s just too much to spend for a bad meal.
Some of the most amazing BBQ I have had! Great friendly staff and service!
Food was really good especially the ribs and turnip greens.
Middle of no-where BBQ joint experience I was looking for. The sauces were delectable and the loaded fries were an incredible value. I paid like 14 dollars and probably got 3 meals worth of food. I had a great time. I think my girlfriend liked her tacos too. She was sad when we went but it had nothing to do with the BBQ. Amazing spot.
Blue Moon used to be good enough to warrant a stop when driving from Nashville to Knoxville. I'm not sure if it's new management or owners or what but the quality has gone down. I got ribs and sausage, both were barely warm, hard, and burnt. Definitely won't be stopping again.
This was my first and last time in this place, I'm completely disappointed, no flavor, burn, all was fat, some weird skin on the plate, hard to chew it, too expensive for what is in the dish. ?????Looks good but doesn't.
Ribs are great! Great service!
customer service is great, inviting and friendly. too bad the food was dry and couldn't taste the smoke flavor. I ordered the wings and brisket. wings were so dry and the brisket has zero moisture. BBQ was fantastic, at least it gave the food flavor since there was none I'm the meat.
I'm from Michigan and this was hands down the most disappointing bbq I've ever had. Two dollars extra for one slice of dry brisket. Dry chicken, dry pork, I've had better sausage from a gas station. Best thing on my plate was broccoli casserole.
