Love this place!!! Found a great place to eat a healthy meal and to keep my blood sugar down. I get the creat a wok with no side or sauce... just vegetables and meat. But I do have to splurge a little on the egg rolls... they are wonderful!!! I love the creations.
The fried rice, vegetables, and sweet chili sauce were delicious but skip the beef. The beef was very overcooked. It was more like beef jerkey than tender cuts of flank steak as indicated. The hot and sour soup was delicious. Staff was very friendly and the place was super clean. I normally only order the Tilapia, but they no longer carry it. They should skip the beef and pay the extra for the Tilapia.
I used to really enjoy this place. Have not been here in two years due to moving out of state. So naturally I wanted to come back when I returned. It was so disappointing. First half my order was not in the bag. My fault for not checking the stapled bag. So I called and informed them. I did not want to drive back 25 minutes to get the remainder of the order. Thought I would give them another try since they may just be having a bad night and figured they could just replace it then. instead the manager said she could credit me four dollars in points… ha! not even equaling the two items that my order was missing. Very poor customer service. Keep in mind this is all before I have tasted the food. So in addition the Bourbon chicken was more like jerky the meat was so dry, and the vegetables were raw. The Mongolian beef was subpar at best, the onions tasted old and slimy, and the rice was not even edible. I sympathize with restaurants having to budget food cost, but the quality of these products were unacceptable. I only post this for educational purposes. They can’t resolve the issues unless they are aware. I hope the next visit will provide a more pleasurable experience.
We love this place! That sums up Wok Chow for us a nutshell. The food is delicious, fresh, and served piping hot. The Kung Pao is excellent, as is their Mongolian beef; even their soups are delicious. But what really works here for me is the value. The portions are huge for the price, and the quality is high. They also have a rewards card, in which you can use for future discounts. There’s a ton of Chinese restaurants in Knoxville, and in my opinion, Wok Chow is among the best. Though it may not exceed it, It’s certainly a better value than PF Chang’s(which is way overpriced). And it’s a better choice than the typical carry out options that are available in the area. I do want to mention we didn’t receive our rice on a door dash delivery awhile back, and was a little frustrated, as we were stuck at the hospital for 2 days. But after talking to the manager, she fixed everything for us, and went well and beyond. Other than that, we’ve dined here probably 100 times with excellent results. I’m Not sure why there’s so many negative reviews. But to each their own: as stated, we love simply this place!
Decided to give it a try for dinner tonight. We ordered 2 entrees with chicken in both. If there’s anything I can’t/won’t tolerate is low quality meat with fat and gristle! The fried rice was also mushy which is totally gross. We also ordered the spring rolls which were actually good. We won’t be back.
Fresh, quality, and filling! I’ve tried most the entrees and can honestly say you can’t go wrong with any of them. Lunch special is only 7.99 too and you really get your moneys worth. This isn’t cheap carry out Chinese food your used to. Really good stuff.
What this place lacks in flavor and authenticity it makes up for with cool decor and a trendy vibe and the amount of dollar signs on Google. Try the sushi if you don't like fish or decently cooked rice.
This is honestly the ONLY Asian food I will eat & it has become one of my favorite restaurants! It is always top-notch! I have dined in & ordered delivery several times. I am rarely disappointed here! Love love love this place!
We love eating here! The food is always fresh, it’s never over crowded, the food is delivered to our table quickly and its just delicious! The staff know us and are always very personable, one lady in particular has watched my progress in my pregnancy and even as we come back with our son, who is 6 months, and loves getting to see him! Overall a great choice!
Disgusting. I'm so sick the next day with stomach cramps in bed. The Hot and Sour soup had dry chunks of mystery meat (I think beef?) in it. It was like dog food. The worst I've ever had. The broth was so thick like molasses. I haven't eaten meat in over two decades. Nothing in the description about it. Who puts beef in H&S? So gross. The plain white rice was ok.
