UP is hands down one of my favorite bar/restaurant/patios in Knoxville for it’s chill vibes and friendly atmosphere. I’ve never had any disappointments with food or booze and service is always top notch. The entire serving staff does an awesome job taking care of all your needs with quick friendly service. Anytime I walk in it’s a joy to see Rachel, Silver, Jeff, Lauren, Jordan, Hannah and many more but this is the primary crew I see the times I come. These humans are all awesome and I couldn’t be happier anytime I come. Come on by and relax, have some food and booze, and enjoy your time! You can’t go wrong!
I love this place! I did not get to try out the food, but the drinks, board games, and sitting areas were phenomenal. It will be my mom and my go-to place each time I’m in town.
The best atmosphere in Knoxville, especially during work hours. Food drinks and service by Jeff is the reason for such a great review. He handled a bar full of patrons along with tables inside and on the patio and my drinks never got empty. Best bartender in town.
Mr Cain is the best bartender on Carr St. Semi professional, lacks personality, but for an average looking guy, he opens a mean bottle of beer. Jokes aside, Highly recommend Union Place. Beautiful patio, great food and specials, game rooms, and most importantly...Owners and staff truly care about their patrons.

What a treasure to find!Great service from awesome staff that make you feel welcomed and warm.Food that makes me wish I had more time to try everything.These guys have perfected bar food.. and that is not an insult here!It's tasty, fun, aids you in drinking a few beers, but mostly makes you want to stay and enjoy the evening.. not hustle through and leave.The outdoor patio is beautiful. Right around sunset is magical.My only regret was not having close friends with me to share in the experience.Next time tho!.Cheers! And keep kill'n it!
One of our regular casual hangouts! We love the outdoor patio, plenty of shade and atmosphere. We also love the queso and beer cheese apps, burgers, fries, huge yummy salads, reuben, etc. We like that they offer special holiday drinks too. We even really enjoy the background music typically, it's usually right up our alley. The wait staff is great. Would be 5 stars if they had a bigger wine selection and carried rolling rock beer :)
My favorite neighborhood bar. Big and pretty patio, live music, spacious inside, separate room for pool/darts, and a lounge area. Nothing fancy, just chill vibes, typical bar food, and inexpensive drinks. Also Rachel is awesome.
It was a good little place. Burgers were good and my sandwich was good. It seems like they're having supply issues because the fries did not seem handmade and the chips were just ruffles right outta the bag. Staff was nice, seems like a good place to hangout because they have activities.
Not enough servers. Food was horrible. My partner and I both ordered main entrees ($18-$20 per entree) and both had watery mashed potatoes, soggy vegetables, and everything was COVERED in old brown gravy.This place was GREAT before COVID, but now not so much....
