Great selection of sandwiches, salads, and pizza. Lots of options available for those who est vegan or vegetarian or those who have with food sensitivities / allergies.I got the small chef salad with ham and turkey, no mushrooms, and chipolte ranch dressing. It was very good, filling, and unique. I would recommend and I'll be back to try other meals!
Why in the world does this place have such great reviews?? Our food was not great between all 9 people only one liked what they had but said the portion was way too small and it was all over priced. We had to ask for everything, straws, silverware, refills ect. The servers were walking around on their phones and chatting in a group instead of taking care of the tables. Not a fan at all and will not be back
Started with prompt seating and a great server! My son and I got the 9 inch build your own. I must say, it was one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. Fresh ingredients , the sauce was delicious and the crust was perfect! My husband got a calzone and was as equally impressed. This is a go-to place for pizza in Knoxville.
The Tomato Head is awesome! ??We stop at Tomato Head on our way through Knoxville, easy off/easy on Highway with a tasty healthy menu. Outdoor seating and plenty of seating inside too. Bar area, friendly service too. They were training new staff on our last visit. I love that there are vegan options. Fresh salads and house made dressings. My son loves the lamb sausage pizza. Lots of choices on the menu. Right on historic market square lots of parking garages around or 2-hour street parking available too. So much better than roadside Highway choices ??
I'll start with the positive first. The pizza was phenomenal. We had lamb sausage and sun-dried tomato pizza. The lamb sausage was very good and unique. We also ordered bread and pesto. The bread was served cold. The pesto was lackluster at best. They did replace the bread with warm. The pizza quality is the only reason for two stars. The biggest problem was the service. We sat at the bar. The bartender forgot to serve my beer. This occasionally happens. No harm, no foul. Upon cashing out I paid for the tab and tipped 20% I then had to ask for my change. The bartender told me he thought I was giving him the change too. After he gave me the change he was really upset and wouldn't even say goodbye! Apparently a 20% tip isn't good enough?
A nice place with fresh food and decent vegetarian opinions.The servers were kind and friendly.We ordered the 9” vegetarian pizza and vegetable sandwich. The sandwich had fresh ingredients, the pizza crust was light and delicious. In all a good meal.
Staff was great and provided great service. Pizza was good. Got the 9inch and you will eat the whole personal pizza but you can share 2 slices. I wasn't a fan of the Arnold Palmer but no biggie just get a different drink. A great atmosphere and music. I took picture of what I had left. Crust was good, cheese and fresh basil. Will come back when in the area.
Today we tried one of their 14 mouth-watering pizza options, the #10 Banana Pepper & Basil Ricotta with italian sausage and roasted onions. It was super delicious down to every bite, even the crust.And to top it off, great service from the very friendly staff.Highly Recommended!
Restaurant was clean, food was tasty, and service was prompt! We enjoyed our pizza and had plenty to take home. A very nice experience.
