What a perfect lunch!! I'm so glade a stopped in! My new favorite lunch place! Thank you for the great food! The lady that waited on me today was very friendly and helpful! cant wait to try more off the menu!
This is a great spot for a quick lunch. I love that they rotate the soups on the menu and they post the daily menu on their website.Try the stuffed pepper soup and get some jalapeno cornbread.The lunch special is also a good one. Get a grilled cheese and a bowl for about $6
I’ve never had bad customer service. EVER. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Truly a great staff… and the food is good too!
we eat there about once a week from my work and it will be the last time. i was charged 10 dollars for a bowl of chili and cornbread,that's gouging as for as i'm concerned. will not ever go back
So good and comforting! Nice selection of soups & sandwiches and the cheese bread is amazing. I was happy to have an opportunity to bring my kiddo here today.We would love to have The Soup Kitchen in Hardin Valley!
I needed to eat something simple. We chose to come here for a soup and sandwich. I had the cream of mushroom soup and a chicken salad on Texas Toast. The soup tasted good. There was a strange taste to it but that was what made it delicious (almond milk?). But the sandwich bread was fresh and chicken salad was delicious. The Luzianne Sweet Tea was weak though. I think it was either watered down or the ice water was stale and I know Luzianne Sweet Tea cause it's the best! The guy who took our order was nice. The only complaint is the price for the soups, sandwich and combos. $22 for 2 soups, 1 sandwich and 1 tea is way too much. We could have went to Shoneys for that price (or slightly more).
The mushroom soup was heavenly. We came rather late and they were out of a few things. Service was very nice. The iced tea looked good and dark. It was all that and a bag of chips.
I adore the soup kitchen. After my friend explained we weren’t going to go to an actual soup kitchen I was in. Tuesday is the day for red bean and rice, my favorite. Get the cheese bread to go with your choice.

Please please… the chicken noodle soup should be an everyday thing… let me explain….I have bronchitis and really couldn’t keep anything down today… so I was desperately trying to find a place for soup and found you guys! Best decision ever.. I ended getting your potato corn chowder (which was good) but oh my god… when I tasted that chicken noodle soup it was the only thing I kept down! Not only was it the best tasting chicken noodle soup I had in I don’t even know how long… but it had the perfect spice to it.. not to salty… and it had a spice kick to it that was able to clear my sinuses up a bit… not only did your chicken noodle help but your pricing is not expensive at all which makes it greater!Please for the people who get sick like me and really need chicken noodle soup in their lives please please consider making this an everyday thing because if you didn’t have it today… I probably would of ended up in the ER needing fluids.To everyone else, if you’re a chicken noodle fan please come to this place for it! It truly is simply delicious!
