The apple fritter was ok. The chocolate covered cream filled were not. The icing had a funky chocolate taste that I didn't care for. Almost a burnt taste. The twist was just ok.

My husband and I visited the Donut Palace on our recent trip to Knoxville. Please understand that we are doughnut people. We seek out doughnuts and make a point of trying new locations in the towns we visit. These doughnuts are absolutely amazing. We bought a dozen assorted for our four-day trip, and we were loving them just as much on day four as on day one. They are remarkably light and fluffy. It feels like you are eating sweet air. The icings are wonderful, from the maple to the orange to the strawberry to the chocolate. If you like them filled, get those. We did. They are wonderful. If you like plain glazed, get those. They are wonderful as well. We saved our cinnamon roll and our apple fritter for the next to the last day because they are so huge and argued over which one was best because they were both phenomenal. I am five hours from there right now and really really wishing I had some more of these delicious treats. We are regular customers of a well known doughnut chain, but I'm telling you that they cannot compare to the pastries at the Donut Palace. Service was fast and friendly by professional servers who were wearing masks. Make a point of patronizing this small business. You will not regret a visit.
By far the best donuts ever just wish I would’ve taken a picture of them. This mother and son work so hard to make the best donuts and they are literally the best donuts. We go every Sunday and get a dozen
Honestly I've never had a donut so good in my life. They are so light and airy if that makes any sense. I am hooked with the first visit. Tastes so fresh fr.
I stumbled across this place by accident. I took a chance and went in and glad I did. The Donuts were so good. This is on my list of favorite donut shops.
