Fantastic BBQ - everything is great! Brisket, ribs, pork and chicken are amazing! I liked their thick sauce the best but try them all. Will definitely come back!
Went to Sweet P's for lunch in downtown Knoxville Saturday. Parking in the city lot is free on the weekends. This place has the appearance of a hole in the wall place but is actually very nice on the inside. The booths are repurposed church pews. My girl got a $3 mimosa and I got a beer that was finished in a bourbon barrel. Really nice bourbon flavor and kinda strong. I got pulled pork that was perfectly smoked. Smoked mac & cheese that was outstanding. Cheesey and smokey. Also got a very fresh coleslaw that was kinda sweet. Chelsea got a half BBQ chicken that she picked down to a skeleton. I know she enjoyed it. They shake a dry spice concoction on it I enjoyed it very much. I typically don't care for it but this was really good. She got the mac & cheese as well and potato salad. They have three sauces on the table. I used the ketchup based which was different but extremely good. Not a sauce that I'm used to but found it to be very enjoyable. For dessert the best damn banana pudding you would ever want. Kind of a small portion on the banana pudding. It was so good I wanted more. This is a cool place. Lunch counter style dining and then grab a seat. Excellent and friendly staff in a World Fair decorated area. I highly recommend a visit to Sweet P's. I'll be back for sure.
Great BBQ. The ribs were excellent with a dry rub that was great on its own. Pork was good too with well balanced levels of smoke flavor. Good sides and beer selection. I'd go back any time.
This was straight up def one of the best meals I’ve had in a minute and the Mac and cheese is hands down the best ever. Our bartender, Felicia, was amazing and you can tell the girl really knows her meats. I tell you what though. This potato salad will smack your granny sideways. We to’ it up.
The environment is nice ???? has a well open floor plan. Plenty of room and outdoor seating. We both had the brisket that came with a rub down seasoning ??? it was not good it was served cold yuk .The slaw was ok on the fence if it was home-made or not❓❓ The beans and green beans tasted as if they came out of a can ????? Down to the mac and cheese ??? if you like hard cheese and cold food this is the place for you ?????the price for 2 was about 50 bucks for sub par food. Save your coins will not be returning again. The best part of the experience was the sweet tea ☕ and Coke ??. BTW BBQ sauce does not taste good with a vinegar base. On top of not being able to douse your dry cold tasteless food you get 1 slice of corn bread ?????? to increase the dryness factor to maximum. Had high hopes. Unfortunately very disappointed ☹️☹️☹️☹️ ????
I was really excited to try Sweet P's when I came to visit Knoxville based on positive reviews I saw on YouTube and other platforms. Maybe my expectations were set too high, but I was a bit underwhelmed. We had the BBQ sampler plate. The smoked chicken was tender, but I was disappointed by the ribs which were rather dry. All of the meat dishes were also quite cold.
It must have been a busy day, when we got there, they were out of pork, chicken and many of the sides and desserts. It was good food albeit a bit in the high cost side. Decor was fun though!
Delicious food! Do not pass this gem by. My family ordered chicken, pork, and brisket, along with mac and cheese (daughter could’ve ate a bowl of it by itself) tater salad, Lima beans (OMG) and pinto beans. Everything was amazing, we didn’t have any left overs!
Parking was convenient.Cold brisket.. fried pickles were not delicious at all and Sides in general were below average.Cost around 50 for two adults for two meals plus 1 drink/1 appetizer.Will be looking for a better barbecue shop next time.
It was really good, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't WOW good. Also the price for the sampler platter ($30) is pretty outrageous for the portion size.Mac and cheese was glow in the dark orange.
