This place use to be a favorite. But went downhill since the pandemic. Some staff try and be nice, but there is a waitress there who is so rude and demeaning she will make a customer feel stupid asking for water. When we addressed the manager about the behavior, we were told we are desperate so we have to keep her. Manager at the time was nice and tried to make up for the bad service, but the food we got wasn’t worth the money. Kroger sushi is a better value.
We waited FOREVER for our food. ALL of the nearby tables that arrived at LEAST 10-15 minutes after us had already ate and left before we even got our food. When mentioned politely to the staff, I was literally just stared at. Part of our order was forgotten, then we had to wait on that. We went half of the time without refills on the drinks. When we asked our waitress what took so long, they blamed it on the sushi. The table next to us got the same sushi as my husband and they got theirs 20 minutes before.Furthermore the food was not impressive anyways.Service contributes a lot to the restaurant experience, and we were very disappointed.
I used to love Stir Fry Cafe! For almost 25 years I have praised this spot for its unique decor, excellent service and exquisite dishes. Tonight (3/31/22), we had to flag down a waitress since the manager never came back to take our orders. I had the Basil Noodles Combo (shrimp, beef, chicken) and was only served chicken, when requesting my order to have the other items I ordered, I was given two (2) shrimps and a small side order of beef. The noodles were dry (like they were heated in the microwave) it tasted very blend. I had to eat it with my friends veggies she didn’t want to be able to swallow them. Flagging down the waitress to get the bill took me to tell another waitress I was a Doctor to get my check. Sorry, Stir Fry Cafe… you lost a true lifelong customer. Sticky Rice Cafe will have my business for life!
Help! I feel like I am still stuck in this place 3 hours after I left! We waited for 10 minutes to have our drink order taken. We then waited about 5 minutes for our water. The waitress kindly stopped by to say our wine and appetizer would be out soon. We could see a poor glass of wine sitting to be brought over for quite a ling time. The wine and appetizer took another 15 minutes, I guess. During this time, we watched other people be seated, served and eating, who came in after us. After eating the appetizer, it took another 30 minutes to get our main courses. Our waitress did come by once more to say they were still working on our food and thank us for our patience. An hour just to START eating our main courses? Not long after we began our meal, people who came in afterwards were finished and leaving. I watched as people around us were given good service and we just patiently waited. I believe our 2 person meals cost around $48. + tip. Very sad experience. It was really too bad. It could have been a better experience.
I will forever be indebted to the great Dr Olaniyi for fixing my broken relationship after my Fiancée left me for Someone else's few months before our Wedding Ceremony ,, I never believed in spells until my friend introduced me to the Great Dr Olaniyi. At first, I was skeptical about him because I heard a lots about false spell casters but I put my doubts behind me for i was desperate to get my lover back and I did according to what he instructed me to do. To my Greatest surprise my lover came back just within 15hours After the spell was Casted.. Today we are living happily with my lover again after 3months of no contact Before our wedding, I'm so Lucky to Have met this Dr and I will not rest till he's known all over the world. Four stars for the food that is always delicious and fresh and the service is great. However, zero stars for the disgusting music they were playing today. I can't believe an establishment like this that welcomes children would play music with curse words. Have some dignity!
Never again. I have ordered tom yum soup and hot sea food. Both of them were supposed to contain seafood. The soup was over salted with like 3 micro shrimps in it and the hot sea was about sweet cucumbers. Almost no seafood. Total waste of money and probably the worst experience in Knoxville so far. I don't understand from where the good reviews for this restaurant are coming from.
Amazing cuisine and fresh sushi!!! This place is tip top as far as quality goes!! I recommend Stir Fry Cafe before all other places because of their attention to detail.. accurate special orders and ATTENTIVE KIND STAFF!!!! The waitresses are young students from UT and local schools.. so I like to tip well for their awesome attitudes and customer care ? Thanks
Best vegetable eggrolls/spring rolls. Mixup first time ordering, but the lady out front was Very nice and fixed the issue quickly. Everything we've had was very good. We will be back. The grilled tofu is so tasty and healthy! Stir fry cafe and Anaba are our new favorites, and fun to combine for takeout.❤
Call me a wimp, but dipping anything in that spicy mustard is like trying to swallow fire and it ain’t for me. They’ve got decent service, super cool local art on the walls, and half off sushi on Wednesday & Saturday. Get ya some.
