Loved it. Nice little coffee shop, cool vibe. I had an excellent cortado - I love it when I actually see it on the menu! Then there are the wicked good doughnuts! I'm not a "doughnuts are life" kind of guy, yet I have to say they were really well done. The question I usually ask myself is, "would I make a trip to come here again" and the answer is a definite yes! I wish they just a little more table room, I'd like a little more space to crank open a laptop. But maybe that's the point. I mean I'm not sure I'd want me hanging out for half the day - I talk to strangers, I ask for things off menu, excuse me, can you change the music please...yea, probably better off with the smaller size:)
This was the experience everyone else has been on about, gigantic yeast doughnuts beautifully decorated. Fluffy and soft with that snap of a crunchy outside. Went a little wild a got a sampling of a few styles.The counter attendant Michael, helped me choose some good options and was great. Handled a couple of customers at once.They also have some of those yankee cake doughnuts for those of y’all that are into that kind of thing
Status Dough has been my favorite place for a donut in Knoxville since they’ve opened. Always consistent. Always the best.Their honey glazed (think just glazed) is by far my favorite just because it’s simple, yeasty, fluffy, not too sweet, perfection.I’ve had several others and never been disappointed. It is more expensive than the crispy store down the road, but it’s so much better.
Just when you think you've found your new favorite donut place; Status Dough comes along and blows the rest out of the water. We haven't tried all the varieties but the ones we've tried so far are so amazing and taste so homemade. We work from home so getting a half dozen delivered to our home office during the week through DoorDash has been such a wonderful thing. Today the box we got; someone had drawn a donut with a happy face on the box and "Thank You" It's those little things in customer service that make you want to be an every day patron of their store. The donuts - so light and fluffy, even the cake donuts are light and truly taste like homemade cake with icing. They're not too sweet and not too rich. This could easily become a habit for us :-)

The coffee old fashioned is amazing! Most of the doughnuts are huge as you can see with this iced one.
