The lady at the counter was very unprofessional and rude. When my husband and I walked in, she was on her phone looked up at us didn’t say one word and went back to her phone.We stood at the counter looking at the menu, she’s standing right there still doesn’t say anything. After she finished with the phone she talks to another person sitting at the counter not about ordering anything just about whatever personal thing was going on with what she was looking at her phone. Then she turns to us and ask what we want.It was a very unwelcoming environment. I ordered a sandwich it was not good. My husband liked what he ordered. We will not be returning to this establishment.

Avoid this place. Was served pulled pork on buns straight from the refrigerator. The woman that took our order had an attitude that made us feel unwelcome and unwanted. A restaurant that has carpet is never a good sign when it comes to being clean. Horrible experience overall.
My husband and I made our first visit to Smash Mouth BBQ tonight and I'm so mad that we've waited this long to try it! It was DELICIOUS! I ordered the brisket plate with Mac & cheese and potato salad. The brisket was so tender you almost didn't need a knife. My husband got the sampler with 3 meats: pulled pork, ribs, and wings. I've never seen ribs with so much meat ever! Everything was so good! We got a banana pudding to take home and you could tell it was homemade! We will definitely be back!
The best Collards in Knoxville!!! Ribs were delicious! Cole slaw A+! And potato salad was great!
Love this place and their food and it's right off Western avenue next to the new Food City at Schaad road!! It's a hidden gem so go check it out if you haven't already!! It's delicious bbq food!! I absolutely love it!!!!
Purchased a large take out order for my family. It's a small but clean place. The ribs, banana pudding & sauce were most excellent. Pulled pork, mac n' cheese, beans were pretty good, as was the pulled chicken.The slaw, however, was an epic failure. Very bland & thick. Cant recommend the bread either. dnt try the brisket, but I probably will next time
Best BBQ in Knoxville. The pulled pork is moist & flavorful enough to not even need sauce. The sides are great & everything is home made in house.
First time stopping in as i drive by often on the way home. Having tremendous regrets for not stopping in sooner! Got the ribs, mac n cheese and greens to go. All three were fantastic! Ribs were smoked to perfection, tender with the perfect amount of smoke. The hot BBQ sauce was great but not needed with these ribs. Will definitely be returning and next time plan on eating in as the place was set up to hang out drink beer and watch football.
I stopped by Smash Mouth BBQ for the first time yesterday. I got the smoked turkey leg and it was perfect. I chose mac n cheese and potato salad for my sides. The mac n cheese was delicious but the potato salad deserves its own 5 star rating it’s self. It’s that potato salad you usually only find at a church revival dinner. That potato salad made by a woman of God that has been touched with the power to slay in the kitchen.
