The waitress was great, attentive, and friendly. The food was awesome, as usual. Will definitely go back again!
Great seafood and great service
What in the world has happened to this brand? I remember when I was younger, dining at a red lobster was actually a treat. You’d look forward to a night out, for good seafood, nice mixed drinks, served in an upscale atmosphere. Fast forward a few decades, and RL has become the place you look to avoid: No fresh seafood, and the atmosphere has become dull. We hadn’t tried one in probably 3 yrs, but my wife was craving fried shrimp, and I was in the mood for scampi. We ordered the fried shrimp for her, and I opted for a recommended dish, Kung Pao Shrimp: and Both were terrible decisions. Her shrimp tasted frozen, and were chewy. Even her baked potato wasn’t worth trying. Then there’s this dish I tried: It was one big gooey mess. The noodles they put the dish on were overcooked; and why they used fried shrimp instead of grilled or broiled, is mind blowing. This was a terrible recipe, that was poorly executed. I wasn’t even able to eat it. I will say, the salad and bread were good as usual. Service was good, glasses topped off, and food brought out promptly; but it wasn’t enough to save this disappointing lunch. All n all, it’s a sad feeling. We used to like RC for a night out once in awhile; but now I’m realizing why we stopped going. One reason is there’s actually a couple of good seafood options in Knoxville these days, and secondly, red lobster just isn’t a good place to dine anymore. The food doesn’t seem fresh, and the recipes are poorly executed. If you’re looking for fresher seafood, you’ll have to keep looking.
