On 26 June me and my family order the phoenix combo, crab rangoon, fried chicken, shrimp fried rice, sesame chicken with SFR and the majority was not edible. The chicken was old, the spicy shrimp looked lime mush and was not good, the general TSO was gummy and so was the sesame chicken. Even the white rice tasted like the cheap version.. to top it off, when I called to express my dissatisfaction, the owner adamantly said "no refund" so needless to say, my family and I will not patronize this establishment again.
Amazing place, always have a good experience good food at a reasonable price.
We have been going here over 5 years. We love their lunch specials. Generous portions and a soft drink is included. The young girls at the front counter are kind of quiet, but I think it is a language thing. Our favorites are L 2 Shrimp w/ broccoli. Comes with a generous amount of fried or steamed rice. My husband gets chicken w/ broccoli or chicken w/ vegetables. We do not like the fountain drinks, so take the canned drinks from the cooler. The prices have crept up over the years, but still a great value. There is a new Panda Express in the same plaza that we avoid and stay loyal to them.
I thought that the McDonald's on Broadway in Knoxville was the worst. Now Panda Garden on Callahan is a close competitor. My family ended up at Panda Garden on 1/30/2022 because every other restaurant in the Callahan/Clinton Highway area was slammed. Now I know why we were the only ones there. Their food is mediocre at best, and their customer service is right up there with the worst I have ever experienced. They use a speaker system through a plexiglass barrier which is very impersonal. They did not greet us when we approached. We repeated our order several times. The woman who took our order frequently interrupted us. The cost was ridiculous considering we didn't order that much. After they had prepared the food, they stacked everything up high on a single tray. My husband had to go get our tray and perform a balancing act to get everything to our table without dropping anything. Both things that I ordered were wrong. I ordered PLAIN lo mein. I was very clear in telling them that I do not eat meat and do not like vegetables. I also said that I wanted plain white rice. Again, I requested no meat and no vegetables. I ended up with lo mein AND rice completely covered with vegetables. I decided that I would save the rice for my mom, but I took my lo mein up to have it replaced. I reiterated what I had ordered. I did not get an apology or even a statement that they would fix my food. Instead, I got a mean look and an attitude. After I sat back down, my husband commented that two egg rolls were missing from the order. He went back up to ask for the egg rolls. A woman tried to say that we didn't pay for them. He told her that two of the meals came with an egg roll (each). That's what the menu says, AND that's what the woman who took our order said. One of the women followed my husband to inspect our table and our food. (Seriously.) She continued to argue. She finally gave my husband one egg roll - not the two that we were supposed to get. She also brought a corrected order of lo mein. She plopped it on the table (the opposite side from where I was sitting) and just walked off. The lo mein was NOT good. We never did receive an apology - just bad attitudes.Listen, my husband and I have made it to our early 40s without a criminal record. Neither of us has even had a speeding ticket in over 20 years. Do you really think that we would start a life of crime by stealing egg rolls?! COME ON!Disrespectful employees and subpar food. We will NEVER go back.
It's good. I think a little over priced for what you get. But when you catch them on a day where they don't forget anything you've ordered... It's good lol. Oh and no matter what you ordered over the phone they will tell you 15mins lol. So if you ordered something big... better make it 30minsB-
I love this place and the bourbon chicken is AMAZING!
I got sweet and sour chicken and when I got home and opened the sauce it tasted and smelled like chemicals/cleaner, I called the restaurant to tell them and they were very rude on the phone didn't offer any refund or to fix the issue in any way. And said they would "look into it" and call back and never did. Save your money and health and do not get food from this establishment people that do not care if there is chemicals/cleaner in their food is not a place you want to get food

First of all, all the dining tables were very dirty when we came in to get some food. After we got our food, we asked for extra napkins to clean off a table. We sat and ate at the table for about 20 minutes - and never saw anyone come out to clean off/sanitize the tables or the sauce bottles, etc... Yes, the cashier has "No" personality at all. Very cheap utensils and styrofoam plates... We used to eat there occassionally for the past 15 years and have noticed the decline of food taste and especially cleanliness. Today is the last time - sorry to say we'll never be back.
Once upon a time, I lived minutes from Panda Garden and I loved them for their yummy yet not terribly expensive food. Their dumplings got me through some tough times. And I'm thrilled so say that years later their food still brings me comfort. Quality has been consistently great through the years and I couldn't be more thrilled to support them when I'm in the area.
