Unbelievably underwhelming. Did not see the value in the tasting menu at all.

Koyo is a small very upscale restaurant in a quiet part of Knoxville. It features a multiple course menu of exceptional Japanese food. The focus is on quality, not quantity. The atmosphere is delightful. Service is excellent. It is an exceptional dining experience. This was our second dinner there. I was a little worried that it would not match the great first experience. Not to worry!

Second time there, just amazing! Unfortunately I donât have the servers name. He was fantastic both times. I love it when an employee is enthusiastic about the restaurant. This is some of the best food in our area. The kitchen ainât playing!!
This is more Japanese fusion than Japanese but who cares - itâs just very good food for people looking for something creative. The chef has worked hard to serve up an interesting mix of flavors with satisfying results. The service and atmosphere was great as well. I started out skeptical but ended in love by the end of the meal.

Complete rip off. Overpriced tapas food which completely underwhelmed. Food was mediocre at best. If you're looking for Japanese food, keep going.
We loved this place and are grateful to have bumped into it. Love that Knoxville has eclectic cuisine of this quality. I highly recommend the chefâs prix fixe called Omakase. Itâs smartly portioned, brilliantly prepared, and impressively paced for a busy weekend night. Their corkage fee is only $20 but they also have an impressive wine list with good glass and bottle options. Looking fwd to our next visit!
