We went there for brunch and were quickly seated. Waitress was a rude from the get go asking us for our drink orders (also to note: coffee mug still had lipstick stains on it). We understood that they were short staffed and they were a bit busy, however, throughout our visit she seemed a lot nicer to some other customers she was serving. While we were eating, we kindly asked us for ketchup and she rudely said "yes". She left us our receipt without even asking us if we would be interested in anything else or any other drinks. At this point, we felt very rushed. Overall, we enjoyed the food but the service could have been improved.
To be quite honest, the balance of self questioning and natural focus became irrelevant when I let my phone die and just simply have an honest communication.Though every story should be understood in the art of local guidances, sometimes it just tells it self when you open it's book.
Service was acceptable. I don't go to IHOP expecting things to be exceptional. It is a good place for breakfast any time if day though. This location does tend to be busy especially on weekends.
The restaurant was nearly empty but it took nearly 30mins to get seated. They were very understaffed, so that was understandable. No big deal. We ended up leaving a few minutes after being seated because there was a strong smell of bug spray coming from where we were sitting. We also didn't want to make things harder on the waitress by asking for a different table when she was already working so hard. The window sill at our booth was also crumbling and looked molded. There was a hole and it looked like it was filled with black stuff and what looked like straw wrappers. The staff was doing their best and they were really nice. I don't really think it's their fault, but nice staff doesn't make a good restaurant. Sadly, I don't think we'll be visiting again.
Well I didn't actually get to eat. We walked out after waiting 20 minutes to be sat and another 45 after we ordered I looked into the kitchen to see the wait staff grabbing food with their bare hands and overheard them saying they had lost our order ticket. You can put up all the signs blaming labor shortages and anything else you want it still does not excuse poor service and unclean practices in the store.
We went to IHOP Merchants Rd. for the free pancakes not knowing it ended before we got there, also not knowing they closed at 6 - it was 5:30. We never show up at restaurants just before closing, at least not knowingly. Jonathan and his VERY short crew of 2 other people made us feel very welcome, even though we offered to leave because it was so close to closing time and there were 5 of us. The restaurant was clean. Our food and coffee were fresh and served timely and correctly. Jonathan was very friendly and quick with drink refills. No one made us feel rushed - though we didn't linger as we didn't want to hold them up. I truly felt for them, with so few people holding down the whole place. They must have had a very long, very tiring day, yet still had smiles on their faces and did their jobs well. I hope their bosses appreciate them. We certainly did.
loved it good food and service
Food was good, the server was even better. Great experience all together. You felt welcomed to be in the environment considering the hard time that the world is experiencing.
Best all you can eat pancakes with a super price at $6. Waitress was great at keeping them coming. I finished at 9 total & 3 glasses of ice water.
The service was outstanding! The waitress tried her hardest through everything. The food however was horrible. Had to send my plate back and didn't even want to eat after. Almost every single table was dirty and had to ask them to wipe our table before we sat down. Our silverware had 3 day old food on it so we had to ask for plastic ware. Only reason I even gave 2 stars is bc the waitress tried so hard to fix everything, otherwise it would've gotten 0 stars
