Slightly crisp surface, soft chewy inside, Hard Knox Pizzeria has got the dibs with dough done delightful. The pizzeria ingredient choices and options for the style of pizza checks off the complete creativity list. The hard working employees swiftly attended and accommodate consumers dining in the restaurant, take out orders, and also curbside convenience. Incredibly delicious pizza.
We were on our way home from Cincinnati and stopped here to have dinner with my sister. The two things that keep this place from being a 5 star is the price and our side and one of our pizzas was kind of dry. It seemed a little overpriced. We got three pizzas and the meat lover one was really good! We devoured that one so fast. The next to go was the pepperoni, not as good but still really good. Then the pizza that got neglected was the cheese pizza, now I don't know if they over cooked this one or what but it was dry and not that flavorful. The garlic knots or whatever they were had a similar reaction as they were dry as well. Other than that I recommend this place. I would go back. It is a great place to eat pizza with friends and family. I think the most underrated thing about this place is that they give you pizza and leave you alone and let you eat!
Pizza was great and you can definitely tell some thought and care went into it. Salads were probably some best around. The brick oven pizza sends out a great pizza every time. The reason I didn't give 5 stars was the atmosphere and price. The building is very small so if there's a few costumers already dining the restaurant is very loud. Secondly we ordered 2 small pepperoni pizzas and 2 salads and it was 65$. We all love pizza but come on.
Hard Knox Pizzeria has the best quality wood fire pizza on the planet. My two son's and I really enjoyed the pepperoni pizza and spinach pizza. The entire staff went above and beyond customer service to make sure our food was great.
pros- the sauce on the pizza was just right. A little sweet with a great tomato taste. cons-Service? What service. We placed our order at the cash register and carried our drinks and plates to the table. Salad. A plate of plain wilty lettuce and a small cup of dressing on the side is not a Caesars salad. Price. I don't mind paying $18.00 for a small pizza if it is good. This was not good and It was very over priced. Pizza. I guess this is considered a craft pizza. But, if you only put 3 or 4 small gobs of cheese on a pizza, it is not pizza. 2 of the 6 slices had absolutely no cheese on them. I have been eating pizza in Knoxville for over 45 years and this was the worst pizza dinner I have ever had here! Never again!!!
Wow! What an overhyped pizza place!I agree with the review complaining about the price. Knoxville restaurants like to overcharge for food when it’s really not worth it. This place is a clear example of that. A fancy interior does not justify high prices for subpar food. The pizza here is barely that. I ordered a small pizza and all of the toppings fell off each and every slice! There wasn’t a single piece I could pick up, hold, fold, and bite. Everything was back on the plate before it reached my mouth. When it did reach my mouth - awful. Meat was unseasoned. It’s like somebody put the restaurant on a low sodium diet or something. Watery as well I don’t think I’ve ever had so much liquid on a pizza that wasn’t grease. For all the hype this place gets from people around town you’d think it was spectacular. After eating here, it makes me question the taste buds of K-town.
We arrived on Wednesday around 2 pm. Lots of seating available. Ordered the $14 lunch special - soda, 8" pie and salad. Salads were very tasty and the wood fired pizza was delicious. Fresh mozzarella, pesto and sauce. Flavor sensation. Spouse had sausage with peppers and onions which he enjoyed. Be aware that the veges are raw. Server and cook were beyond polite. Just awesome! Will come back.
Decent pizza. A little pricey but expected. Disappointed that we were charged $2 to have Pepperoni removed from one half of a pizza. I don't think I've ever seen that before where you pay full price for the Pizza and they charge extra to take a topping off half the pie. Watch your orders.
We ordered two pizzas for take out so we can watch the football games while we enjoy. OMG! These were so delicious. Mine was a thin crust Margareta and my date's was a thin crust pepperoni & mushrooms. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful and the crust... oh that crust was so good. The service during pick up was fast and efficient. Love it!
I’ve been wanting to try this pizza place since we moved here last year. We decided to order the barbed wire pizza and chose take out. This was by far the best pizza I’ve found in Knoxville thus far! The bourbon reduction was the perfect combination with the pork and bacon. Sweet and slightly salty! Will definitely eat here again!
