Very high quality pizza in a variety of traditional styles. They have the best grandma's pizza in town for many years running now. Prices can be a little high if you want to add a few toppings but for the obvious jump in quality compared to their competitors I'm happy to pay. The servings are also gargantuan so one pizza is easily 3-4 meals for one person.

I hate that I have to give at least one star. I wish I could give less. Easily the worst dining experience I’ve had in Knoxville in years. Our waiter forgot to give us silverware and appetizer plates. We ran out of beverages. We waited over 45 minutes for our food because “pizzas take a long time to bake.” We had to go find him multiple times to ask about our food and for refills. He brought the wrong refills. We asked for to-go boxes which took forever. He blamed all of this on the kitchen staff (of course) even though we could see him laughing and hanging out at the bar. (The food was delicious when we finally got it.) Once we got the check, he again blamed the kitchen staff for “not having it together tonight” in hopes we wouldn’t stiff him. He definitely should not be a server.

Amazing restaurant! Food was a 10/10 and Service was 10/10. The server was happy, very clean, and very pleasant to be around. We ordered a whole pizza with 2 topping and 2 side salads. On the salads everything tasted fresh and clean, and the pizza was great, no shortcuts or cheap ingredients here. Will definitely be going again. If you're in the area I'd recommend Gavinos everytime, over Hard Knox pizza and Sergeant Pepperoni.

We love this place! My husband always gets the Grandma pizza and loves it. I've tried several pasta dishes and they are also great! My favorite is probably Chicken Penne. I HIGHLY recommend this place! Great job, Gavinos! You NEVER disappoint!!!

This place absolutely makes authentic NY style pizza. I am from New York and only moved here rather recently. I have been enjoying NY pizza in NY most of my life. These guys make the real thing, and do so really well. The pizza is top notch. It's better than a lot of places back home. I have also dined in and enjoyed their other offerings immensely. I am fortunate to live so close by, too. The prices are also reasonable and the staff are friendly. This place is sure to be a definite win for anyone who tries it. That said, I am sure if something does go wrong somehow, which is bound to happen sometimes, the attentive staff will handle it well. That's a margherita pie in the photo!

You HAVE to get the garlic cheese bread! I can’t even explain how good it is. We tried the Neapolitan pizza with pepperoni and it was a solid choice. We will definitely come back to try other things, but Gavino’s is a solid Knoxville pizza place.

Best pizza I've had in Knoxville ?? Very much like real New York pizza ? The jumbo buffalo hot wings were also to DIE FOR

I like this place a lot, but if I could change one little thing, it would be the pepperoni. It's my favorite pizza topping, but theirs tastes like the pre-sliced Hormel pepperoni (not saying that's what it is, just comparing flavor), and it doesn't get nice and crispy around the edges like the NY/NJ pizza I grew up with. A nitpick, I know, but it would make a huge difference for me. Anyway, still good pizza.

Our favorite pizza in Knoxville, for sure! If you don't eat it all, it stays good ( well wrapped), for like a week. And it is just as good warmed up in our toaster oven.Always great service,as well. Never change, please.

We walked in about 730 on Sat. Jan. 8th and there were at least 6 people waiting. We waited several minutes before I asked the other guests if they had been greeted. They had been waiting 10 minutes and had NOT been greeted. I walked to the bar and there was no one there. I walked to the kitchen area and apologized for interrupting the waitress but asked how long it would be until the guests were greeted and seated. She said they were understaffed. So I said ok and that we would go somewhere else. We walked out. Mark Bibby followed us out and yelled at me. Told me to slip on the ice and called me a b1tch! Horrible owner/manager! I will tell EVERYONE that I know that Mark Bibby is an abusive chauvinist pig and that no female should ever visit his restaurant!!!
