OMG ? this place was amazing! Really the best kept secret in Knoxville.Where do I start. This place was just spectacular from the way it was decorated to the service that you got was soon as you walked in the door. The waitress was amazing she really new the menu and very attentive. Also they have a live band that plays outside and it was great to sit there and listen to music and eat our food but also really nice that it wasn't so loud that you could still hear each other talk across the table. I think everybody should try this restaurant. yummy ?
I enjoyed the Cuban sandwich and my Wife had the taco salad. Very good food!
I had been wanting to try Emma's for quite some time. I was pleasantly surprised. There's a nice selection from Burgers to Tacos to Southern dishes. I appreciated the fact that there weren't an overwhelming amount of choices. The fried foods are fresh, breading is light, not greasy, no old oil aftertaste. French fries are delicious and plentiful and plenty enough to share. Nice relaxed atmosphere. It was really nice to be able to enjoy a meal and not feel rushed. I will definitely be back.
Started with fried pickles. Chips not spears. They were hot, fresh and amazing!Had the Reuben with fries. Hubby had the fish and chips. $1.99 margaritas!! Unbelievably good.The service was great!Sat down right after a party of 18 sat down. .. was worried we would be waiting for food. We were not!Service was fast, food was HOT and delicious. Good portions. They are not skimpy on the fries. Will be asking for a To go box.Will definitely come back to this place. YUMMY licious.
This was my first time dining @ Emma's, and I will stay that I was very expressed. The food was wonderful as well as our waitress, Abigail. The pictures don't do the food justice. The environment is laid-back, and I will be adding this to one of my favorite restaurants ❤️.
My wife and I decided to try Emma's yesterday with my mother in law and it was absolutely fantastic. We had driven by a few times and noticed it was usually very busy so we knew it would be good and it was amazing we will definitely be back
Came in with a group of 7 after the Vols game. Restaurant was almost empty. After us came in a group of 11 then another large group, inside was full within ten minutes of our arrival. People were being seated outside. Service was great, food was served quickly and it was perfect. Few restaurants could handle a rush like that with such ease. Emma’s never disappoints.
This place is really, really good. Many restaurants claim to be southern kitchens, but this is the real deal. I have what is a self described impressive spice rack, and I use it nearly every time with takeout, regardless of the restaurant. I didn’t need it for this place. The chicken fried chicken is flavorful, and the accompany gravy is great. I also got wings, which turned out to be some of the best I’ve had in a while, with a homemade ranch that seems to have a chipotle hint to it, and it’s great. Do yourself a favor, try this place out.
Great little restaurant! Fish & chips, patty melt & hamburger highly recommended. Coming from a Texan, skip the tacos, wish I had. Maybe these are acceptable in Tennessee, but they are not how tacos are supposed to taste. Service was friendly & efficient. Cozy atmosphere. Would return.!
Our group of 4 men were searching for "The Burgers" and discovered that it is actually "Emma's Southern Kitchen." But the expected outcome was still the same - very good. I enjoyed the "Chicken Fried Chicken" meal with the tomato & cucumber salad as my additional side. (Picture attached.) I felt the chicken was cooked well and the gravy with biscuit met my expectations. The other people ordered the Shrimp Tacos, and two burgers. One person who wanted fries with his people had his plate overflowing with fries - which meant some of us got to eat some of his fries, too. Nice. The only downside is that we ordered the Chips & Salsa and thought that they were pretty standard fare. When we went (11/11/21,) it was only half busy so service was very good. It was intermittently raining so we dined inside and while a little cramped inside, it was fine. I definitely will come back to try other meals and the price was fair and reasonable.
