Well what can I say... Any pizzeria reviewed by barstool pizza that gets 7.5 is worth the visit. I am from Atlanta, Georgia. I have the utmost respect for many different styles of pizza and this one is unique. Unfortunately I have to disagree with the 7.5 taste rating that was given. I believe it is a solid 6.3. The crust, consistency, flavor and cheese sauce variation of the cheese pizza was mediocre. The crust did have a VERY light and airy consistency, which was a bit different. The flavor profile was as expected, and normal for a hand made pizza. As for the customer service, absolutely poor. Would I visit again? No, The pizza would not bring me back, and the customer service would keep me away. Hopefully this review helps. Definitely give it a try. Hopefully have a better experience than I did.
So we were traveling and wanted some authentic NY style pizza. Well the experience was poor at best. The lady at the front counter was rude and unwelcoming. Not sure if she is the owner or wife of the owner but she does not need to be in the restaurant business. Someone in our party heard the front cashier talking bad about us saying “people like them make me want to quit”. All we asked about was a cheese calzone since we are not from this area, and the lady informed us they don’t make things not on the menu. Someone in our party asked the rude front counter lady for some ranch and was told they didn’t have any but them minutes later someone else in our party had ranch and the pizza was already eaten at that time. The pizza sauce was watery and there wasn’t much of it. The toppings were sparse and the extra side of marinara was needed. We got a large 5 topping and spent $24 so the price point was low but the ingredients didn’t impress at all. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place for pizza or good service. We won’t be going back next time we pass through Knoxville.
The lady taking our order was extremely rude. We felt extremely unwelcome. Everything we asked her was answered back to us with an attitude. She asked if I wanted it to-go or for here and I told her just put it in the box and we’ll still eat here and she said that she would put it on the plate and if there was any pizza left she would give me the box. I just agreed with her. Later on my 17 year old son said that he heard the lady say that people like us is what makes her want to quit working there. The pizza was ok. I don’t see why they have 4 1/2 stars.
First time visit and will be returning. Have tried 2 other pizzerias and this is the best! Excellent! Super tasty! Wings are so good! Will be back!
After seeing their commercial all day, we decided to use our cheat day and have a pizza we had the combo Pizza. It was very delicious service was great definitely a nice little family-owned place. Much better than the normal franchise pizza places in our area. Highly recommend if you're looking for good pizza in Knoxville
We went yesterday and ordered the extra large cheese pizza. We decided to have just cheese because it tastes so good that you don't need any toppings!! Elidio's is always clean, fast and friendly! They have special lunch deals and when we were there it was super busy! We feel like the prices are great too.
Awesome pizzaAwesome prices.Quick service.Lol at the people complaining about the man at the cash register being "rude". He isn't rude, he just doesn't talk much. He tells you the price and runs the transaction and that's that. He's efficient. Who knows what has happened in his day or how many people have mistreated him? I come for the pizza not a friendship. If you get your feeling hurt easy because the cashier isn't going to be talkative and ask how your day is then this place isn't for you.If you come for pizza and can care less about the emotions and behavior of the cashier then THIS IS YOUR PLACE.Best pizza in Knoxville. Real NY style.
I have been going here for a few years now. As a patron from NY this is the absolute real deal. Fantastic from the ground up. I have read the other reviews of the customer service. I guess the other "real nyers" have gotten soft coming down to the south. The environment and food is top level. If you want a true authentic NY pizza experience this is the place. I drive sometimes 40 minutes from my house to get this taste of ny. Thank you for being so exceptional. Keep up the fantastic work.
Being from NY this is the best pizza in town!! Staff isn’t polite. If he is from NY and is the owner he really needs a talking to about staff. NYC business owners are polite but blunt and want their customers to come back. Would have given you five stars my man, but you need to check those attitudes.
Was very pleased with the pizza. It came out nice and hot the crust was just crispy enough to my liking but not overdone. While the pizza was still a little too hot for me to take a healthy bite I got a taste of the sausage. It was obvious to me that the sausage was good quality ,bursting with flavor. We got the five topping special which for a 14-in was 18 dollars I believe we got pepperoni sausage black olives mushrooms and onions. I would have added green bell pepper if I would have thought about it a little bit longer. The toppings were evenly spread over the pizza which I like the right amount of cheese and the sauce was just hanging up but not over tangy. Hand tossed crust New York Pizza at its best. We left another Pizza established when I wanted to try because all they were doing is carry out the wife and I don't give many days together so we wanted to sit down and eat they're dining room is a little dated and wasn't very clean I think he's very short-staffed but not terribly dirty either. Basically what you have is carry out pizza that they allow you to eat there at least that's the attitude that I got. I read a lot of the reviews talking about the owner being rude well I did not think he was rude he wasn't just bubbling with personality real touchy-feely but I didn't come there to make a friend I come there to get a good pizza. He was friendly enough to take my order and to point out their various combinations. The wife and I love big edd's Pizza. But this place is a lot more convenient to our home than driving to oak ridge. The only reason I'm not giving it a five-star is because there was no beer no big deal to most people but to me you need a good cold draft beer to enjoy Pizza I do believe big Edds probably has a little bit better taste in the crust they actually have some herbs and garlic powder mixed in with their crust which probably makes it a little bit better but the better trade-off here is you don't have the weight and big heads hours have gotten a little inconvenient these days so we were looking for another pizza place but I would have to give this pizza a good A. We will definitely be back
