It's a bit of a drive to Double Dogs from Powell but we hadn't been there in a while and thought we'd go there for lunch. My wife and the Potato Bacon soup and the tuna fish sandwich. I had the double dog entree with fries. Both were good but her tuna fish sandwich kept falling apart but she didn't complain. Service by Hanna I was good and better than a lot of places we've been to of late. This isn't fine dining but a nice lunch place on a Saturday afternoon. We'll be back.
We came later in the evening to grab a bite. The side salad and burger with fries we ordered was good and I would go back for it and to try other items on the menu. The service itself was slow though for it being such a less busy time of the evening.
I want to start by saying that the vibe of this place, the look and the whole atmosphere is super fun and chill. They have a great indoor and outdoor area. They are dog friendly and play into the dog house thing. Our server was great and all the staff we interacted with were great!The reason for the 2 stars is because of the food…there wasn’t a single person at our table while loved their entree…the pasta salad had zero flavor and wasn’t what we were expecting. The double dogs which is literally the name of the place seemed like grocery store hotdogs or Kroger buns. The salad was meh. The burger was SO salty I was choking it down. Our biggest issue was the sauces, the coleslaw tasted like straight mayo, as for the ranch and the dressing for the pasta. It was majorly disappointing…
Drinks other than beer are way overpriced. Appetizers are overpriced as well. However, the wings are excellent and my favorite is the Hot Thai sauce
They tore down a Rafferty's to build this place. What a disappointment. Hot dogs were grilled but to a point they were dried on the inside
Excellent atmosphere and service!! The crew on deck was on high alert especially for a busy sat. The entrees and apps have amazing flavor. And OMG the best fried pickles I've ever had!! Definitely a local favorite ?
This is a very welcoming place service is always top notch. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and very attentive. It can get very busy because it is one of the very few places around that feels like a Hometown bar. The double fried wings are some of the best ever. Their gluten free options are limited but limited but they have gone out of their way their way to be helpful and extremely careful for guests. If you are near this restaurant you will not be disappointed.
Smoking Hot wings are beyond excellent! Large, cooked to perfection. I was so excited I forgot the "before" Pic lol. Here's the aftermath with the boneyard. Jordan was very friendly and accommodating. Prices very reasonable.
