This place is my new favorite local spot! The food is great quality and the service is top notch! My husband kept asking me to go, but I judged the outside of the restaurant for about 6 months before agreeing to go. Now I regret all the meals I missed out on.
I just found this little place! If you haven't been there, you need to make it a point to go there! I got the turkey club with fries and could not eat it all. It was great! I am about to be a regular!
When I travel, I'm always searching for the "hole in the wall" places to eat. I tend to be able to see parts of a city that are not meant for tourists, only locals! Well did I luck on to this little gem of a place! Friendly Mom & son joint with delicious food and generous portions. If I lived in Knoxville, they would definitely know my name!
Cute little spot, local and retro diner style.Try their signature potatoes, it s a must, their mediterranean breakfast as well, really tasty breakfast or brunch!!
The staff was super friendly and great at their job. Everybody in the place had a smile on their face. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. Seems like a tight, family owned place. Would go back on a regular basis if I lived in the area.
I read all the good reviews, so I wanted to try this place out today. I ordered a turkey wrap, minus tomatoes, that was supposed to come with fries and a pickle. I ended up getting a turkey melt with fries and no pickle. I was a little confused, so I asked my waitress if I got the right order, and she admitted she made a mistake. I told her I would eat it anyway, and she took the price of my Coke off my bill. The sandwich was really good, although I do like my bacon crispy, not limp. The fries and coke were good also. They have tables as well as booths, but it's not real big inside. Also, you might want to use the restroom before you come here, because they only have one restroom, back in the kitchen. I'm guessing it's an employee bathroom that they let customers use. They're also adding a $1 to each order "temporarily", because of food costs.Since the turkey was really good, I plan on going back and trying the wrap next time... hopefully. I'll also try to get updated pictures of the menu, since I believe their prices have changed. Hopefully I'll be able to give them more stars on my next trip. They close at 2pm, so come early.
Love Colonels Cafe (Delicatessen) We've only had breakfast there, but it is good food. If you want fast, and hot food this is a great place. Just a good old home style breakfast. The Colonel is over the grill throwing things together. The service is friendly and helpful. I've seen the parking lot full at lunch so......
A hidden local gem in Knoxville. This place is a MUST visit if you have never been. Greek flair with American offerings as well. Excellent!
On this Saturday morning my wife, and brother decided on a early breakfast: I hadn’t ate here in many years…. Upon arrival the smell of coffee and breakfast foods cooking smelt amazing. We were seated and decided on our food order. My wife had the Discovery Breakfast: French Toast, Scrambled Eggs and Bacon. I had the: Country Fried Steak, Eggs, Colonels Potatoes and Biscuits/Gravy and a side of tomatoes. My Brother had: Homemade Corn-beef Hash and Eggs, With Colonels Potatoes and Biscuits and Gravy , he added a blueberry pancake! All our Breakfasts were perfect and the fresh coffee, exceptional staff and classic diner atmosphere! Kudos~ I highly recommend and loved our meals and visit…. Great service and the Colonels Potatoes (with capers) were cooking the whole time~
Stumbled upon this place today just looking for a good breakfast spot. The service was reasonable. The food was definitely the home cooked style I was looking for. Prices were fair for the portions. The only constructive feedback is the restaurant is really loud when it's full, like I couldn't hear my boyfriend talking at a 2 person table. Also, our orders weren't quite right. They weren't huge mistakes, but things that we specifically said when ordering that were missed. Overall. We had a good experience and will probably return.
