Decided to go to Cheddars to end a day full of fun and laughter with my 5-year-old daughter with appetizers and dessert! This place never fails me. Had a terrible experience dining out all week. Colin. Our server was Outstanding. He did not cater to me, he catered to my daughter. Servers that interact with the kids are great! Because of the service I gave a 100% tip, I matched the check amount as the tip!. Well done and thank you. The food was great as was the service! I recommend Cheddars on Kingston pike in Knoxville. Manager Tabitha and server Colin!
This is a favorite spot for the family. The staff we've encountered are friendly and the food arrives fast.Price-wise, it's reasonable and we can feed a family of 3 teens for under $70.Special nod to our last waiter who gave our teenage daughter some excellent advice about college as he was in the midst of it himself. If you're looking for a nice place to eat with the family, this is the spot.
Swung in here for a quick bite with a friend and we were heading outta town. My limited experience with Cheddar's is they have a lot of chicken. I don't eat chicken. I had cheese curds which was tasty, came with ranch dressing. My partner had a small salad and baked potato.. Our friend had some kind of roll up sandwich. He took most of it with him to go. I think the 3 of us ate for less than $40, including tip. Server was Anna Belle and she was great!
Ribeye steaks, red beans and rice, loaded baked potatoes. Great food. Great service.
I've been meaning to go by here. Finally got the chance for a lunch meeting. Food was very good. Server was very attentive to our drinks. I got the chicken pot pie and it was just what I needed on a cold snowy day. We also got chicken tenders and a sample platter. Dollar to food amount was very very surprising. We felt we got our monies worth. I will bring my team back here for future lunch meetings.
Service was slow the chicken I had tasted like rubber. The manager even acknowledged that he had some before that had the same texture. Broccoli casserole was dry carrots weren't sweet or glazed. My wife's coconut shrimp was good but her green beans weren't. The manager was very nice took the plate off my bill. You guys read my post I'm not too hard on alot of places I worked in the restaurant industry but this was not good. Best things I had today the croissants and the ginger beer. Prices are reasonable. They scaled back their menu took one of my favorites off the menu the Philly steak and cheese. I don't really blame them 100% it is really hard finding good help no matter what they are paying. In a world that pays you to stay home.
Met with a group of 13 friends with reservation ahead of time blocking off tables. Seating was very quick when people arrived. Food was delicious, well prepared and served with great dignity.
I had never been to Cheddar's before. We had been working in Knoxville, near Kingston Pike and decided to go there for lunch. It wasn't too crowded and the food came out fairly quickly. I had ordered the chicken strips with the coconut shrimp and for the sides I got a loaded baked potato and corn off the cob. The baked potato seemed to be fairly old and the corn off the cob was no better than canned whole kernel corn. The sides were not all that great but the chicken and coconut shrimp were really good. The chicken come with honey mustard and the coconut shrimp come with painkiller sauce which was like a sweet coconut flavored dip that was served cold. Overall it was a pretty good lunch for the price.
UPDATE: Not sure if this review made a difference but I decided to give Cheddar’s a second chance and this time we were taken care of in less than five minutes! Our server Cecilia was AMAZING and I enjoyed every minute of my experience. You’re back on my top Cheddar’s!Cheddar’s had become one of my favorite restaurants, I usually try to come at least once a week; but today, I had a terrible experience. First, the host that seated me and my fiancé was less than nice, maybe she was tired and overworked (I understand, it’s a Saturday night) so I let that pass. Then, once seated NOT A SINGLE WAITER/WAITRESS paid attention to us, not one person came to ask what we wanted to drink (someone could’ve said “I’ll be right with you“ or something, but no). We were there for 15 minutes! waiters would just pass next to us and ignore us like we were not there. It was very frustrating and somehow I feel that if we were white this wouldn’t have happened ☹️We ended up leaving and came to Drake’s, it was way more crowded and we were seated and taken care of in less that 10 minutes. I really hope Cheddar’s improves their service on the weekends, because I love the food and I don’t want to stop coming just because of this incident.
Inexpensive and good meal! Couldn't accept a gift card at the tabletop POS but the manager made it happen. Great wait staff, our visit couldn't have been better
