We were out shopping and went to the Bombay Palace for dinner. The meal started out with some Papadum (thin lentil bread), Onion Chutney and Mint. All were excellent. At the recommendation of the restaurant manager we shared orders of Chicken Tikka Marsala and Lamb Bhuna served with Naan. The meal was outstanding as was the service. We will return.
From beginning to end the dining experience was very pleasant. Service was efficient, fast, and super kind. App didn't take but 10 minutes. The vegetable pakora was packed full of flavor and crispy. The lamb korma was hot with a very creamy texture. The lamb was extremely tender. Rice was properly cooked and aromatic. The garlic naan was definitely the star of the show. Light and fluffy but crispy with cilantro, parsley and garlic. The only downfall of this place is I didn't have a second stomach. Definitely one for the books. They are also Hot for food delivery; UberEATs, GrubHub, Bite squad,..ect.
I’d have gone for Zero stars instead of one.Worst Biryani Ever, I’d appreciate staff waiting for me till I reached the restaurant at 10.15 pm, which is 15 minutes more than closing time 10 pm.Food is horrible as you can see, Picture has veg, chicken and Mutton BiryaniBut they seemed and tasted like tomato Rice.
My go-to dish at an Indian restaurant is a Lamb Rogan Josh which I use to benchmark and I wasn't disappointed. As an Englishman, I know my curries and this establishment is probably the tastiest in town, I've tried the majority of them. It's a little further for me to travel than several others but worth it. Saturday night carry out is a given. Staff are friendly and the place is hygienic, which for Knoxville is unusual; I've never been ill which is more than I can say for other places. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
This place is amazing! Their food is delicious every time I go. The servers are fantastic and subtly hilarious. This is one of my favorite places to eat EVER.
Some of the best Indian food I've had in Tennessee! The Nan came out hot and crispy and both dishes were excellent! Definatley will be back soon!
I have been coming to this restaurant for the last 3 years and everything I have had here has been amazing! The staff are attentive and really friendly! I messed up once and ordered something that didn't fit my diet, as a vegan, and they were more than willing to take the hit! I ended up taking the food to my brother and he was impressed! Hands down my favorite restaurant in Knoxville! You must try the Gobi chili! Vegan or not, great tasting food!
What a wonderful assortment of flavors that work so well together. Very nice!
We really enjoyed our lunch today .Delicious food ,especially the hot, garlic Naan. Our server was very nice as well. Be back soon !
THE WORST BIRYANI I ever had in my life. I am from Hyderabad, India, imagine how many biryanis I might had, but still this is THE WORST OF THE WORST. I ordered one chicken biryani and one veg. biryani for a friend, me, and my friend both were disappointed and god help me, I found green peppers in the biryani and the chicken was terrible. The rice was sticky and overcooked, well, it was not even BASMATI RICE, just look at the picture it's nothing compared to biryani, it might be a combination of chicken pulao and kichdi. I didn't see it in the restaurant otherwise I would have returned it just by looking at it. NO OFFENSE, I NEVER HAD A BIRYANI IN BOMBAY MAYBE FOR PEOPLE FROM BOMBAY THIS IS THE BIRYANI.
