Servers were all very friendly. Very quaint atmosphere. Band was setting up as we were leaving. Warning... The truffle fries and chips/onion dip apps are HUGE portions. When we saw them come out we wished we hadn't ordered entree's.

Always good atmosphere after friendly staff. Good food too.

The service appreciation night on Monday is super fun for half price appetizers and live jazz! The food itself is just ok. The sandwiches and salads are decent but I have yet to get an entree that was better than mediocre. If you go, stick to jazz, apps, and cheesecake!

Only had drinks but excellent variety of bourbon. Great staff and had great conversation with another patron. They have awesome musical venues but haven't been in a decade. Do se the lineup and it is solid.

We're building a new home in the mountains outside Knoxville and have come to love the Bistro. It's really fantastic food at a very affordable price point. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants. Plus, the Bijou Theater is right next door. We came in for dinner recently, hoping to score last minute tix for Lyle Lovett... BINGO!! I love it when a plan comes together!!

I went to the Bistro for the first time tonight to hear the jazz. I decided to eat here as I had never been before. Here's a list of the pros and cons I took note of while I ate. The summary review is at the bottom.Pros:- The music is fantastic. Of course this is dependent on the musician, but the music was not too loud and added to the ambience of the Bistro. It is not the best environment if you just want to listen to music as there is limited seating.- The ambience is vintage and warm and overall a great place to go on a date. I noticed many couples sitting around enjoying themselves and having a great time.- I noticed other tables playing board games, great idea Bijou! It is super fun to play board games while waiting on food or after you eat while listening to music and drinking.- The food came out quick (within 10 minutes of ordering - note: I ate by myself). I was honestly surprised as my original expectation was about triple the time I waited.Cons:- The service was mediocre at best. I noticed my particular server made more conversation with the older group next to me and was more enthusiastic than with myself, although I was polite and thankful. I'm not sure if this is because I was younger than the majority of customers, not drinking, or by myself. Regardless I felt the service was not adequate.- The food was also mediocre at best. I ordered a medium chop steak and it came out too pink to be anywhere even near medium. I also ordered the quinoa salad which was quite bland. The only food item that was tolerable were the black eyed peas.- The price was much more than I had originally expected. The steak itself was $12 which below it claimed it came with two sides. I ordered the two sides and received a check for $18. When looking over the check I was charged for both of the sides I had ordered. A tip for the Bistro, please articulate this on the menu so customers don't spend 50% more than they intend.Overall, my experience was quite disappointing. I was excited to eat here for the first time and listen to some good music. The Bistro let me down and I will not eat here again. I will, however, return to hear the music and have some drinks. Definitely not a place that should be advertised as a bistro but rather just a bar.

Not as intimate as the OG now that it’s had a ‘modern’ remodel, but still… if you’re seeing a show at the theater, Bijou or Tennessee, can’t go wrong with the Bistro. Great brunch and lunch as well.

Excellent place for New Year's dinner. Had all the typical New Years meal items including black eyed peas and collard greens

I brought my daughter & her friend here on our trip to tour the University of Tennessee. We all enjoyed our meals & the service was great! We also enjoyed a jazz trio during our meal. We had the Brussel sprouts appetizer; a couple of salads topped with salmon and the chicken thigh meal. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the chicken thighs were boneless / skinless (delicious!).

Great food and service. Would definitely go again
